Solution

Invenio offered significant expertise in delivering high-performance SAP Tax and Revenue Management (SAP TRM) platform that enabled the Maldivian tax authority to manage multiple tax types in one integrated system.

Invenio proposed using ‘HANA as a sidecar' engine along with SLT (System Landscape Transformation) for real time updates and Business Objects for effective reporting.

Project has also given UMG an opportunity to redesign some of the superfluous data models and business processes.

Benefits

BackgroundPhysical and digital sales data is fed by various feedersystems in this central finance instance consisting ofSAP ECC and BW. After further processing of this data,royalty payments get calculated, provisions made andfinancial statements generated. The numbers arefinally fed into a Hyperion system used by the parentorganisation Vivendi Group.

Challenges

SAP FICO solution was implemented for financial reporting and royalty payments.

Entire process was time consuming which resulted in making it a lengthy and resource intensive affair.

FI posting to be available for HFM mapping view was brought down to under 5 minutes from the current 5 hours.
