Suited to both conference opening sequences, and awards openers our graphics wizards can inject some magic into your logo and sponsors logos. If it’s not screwed down we can make it move, spin, turn, fly, float and move anyway you choose. Client Nationwide

Event Nationwide Annual Awards 2010

Venue Celtic Manor, Wales

BackgroundNationwide is the largest building society in the world and one of the top three savings providers and mortgage lenders in the UK.

Client Brief Nationwide wanted to build on last year’s event and stage an event for the 200 top performers from all levels of the organization. The brief was to provide a five star experience with an awareness of cost effectiveness due to current financial constraints.

Our solution We worked closely with Nationwide to understand the importance of leaving such a positive impression on the guests that they would return to the organization and extend their enthusiasm to colleagues.

The chosen venue, Celtic Manor, was selected for its geographical location to Nationwide’s head office and for its position as a luxury 5* resort. A welcome area was provided for the guests with a streamlined check-in process. This was followed by a private drinks reception before guests made their way to the awards where they were greeted by event hostesses and guided to their tables.

The event staging was created using crystal curtains and LED lit columns which subtly changed colour throughout the evening. We created imaginative animated presentations with high energy stings. This was complemented by technology including intelligent and LED lighting, four camera video crew and a high-end audio solution.

Following the awards conclusion we produced an awards highlight DVD overnight which was then couriered to three key Nationwide locations in the UK by 08.30hrs the following morning.

Event Motor Trader Awards 2010

Venue Grosvenor House Hotel, London

BackgroundMetropolis Business Publishing is a media group, established in 1994, that specializes in consumer and B2B publishing, events and websites.

Client Brief We were asked to deliver an awards ceremony full of fresh ideas, glitz and glamour at a Park Lane venue for 1100 guests.

Our solution Our solution included using a 36 x 17 ft screen incorporating the full Spyder projection package, along with full content production, opening sting, lighting design and animated sponsors loop in the form of each sponsor flying toward the screen on their own star set to a backdrop of a star field. The screen dominated the stage forming the set in itself and giving guests a unique event experience with live camera relay and animated screen graphics.

ResultsFeedback from guests confirmed set design and superwide projection was a big hit delivering the all-important wow factor. This was reinforced by a management email offering their thanks with confirmation again that the night truly was a great success.

Event IPTV World Series Awards 2010

BackgroundInforma PLC is the leading international provider of specialist information and services for the academic and scientific, professional and commercial business communities.

Client Brief We were asked to deliver a central London awards ceremony that really delivered the wow factor.

Our solution We delivered a set featuring stunning new materials, bespoke lecterns, a large projection area with an impressive computer animated opening sting, intelligent lighting and a high-end audio system.

Using the latest technology we delivered an opening animated presentation which gave the impression of flying through the streets of London’s south bank which our designers created and replicated to the tee, including the London Eye. The camera came to

rest in front of a huge bronze statue of the IPTV logo which was designed to look as though it was a new towering feature in Central London. Using powerful music and our own in-house voice of God, this combination created an amazing start to the awards evening full of impact and the all important wow factor. Our introduction, stage set, opening sting and ambience set the tone for what turned into an incredible night for all.

ResultsCorporate Events have been engaged to produce additional events during 2010 and 2011.

Client Reed Business Information

Event British Council of Offices Awards 2010

BackgroundOne of the BCO’s primary objectives is to define excellence in office space. As part of this objective their annual awards programme provides public recognition for top quality design and functionality and a benchmark for excellence in workplaces. The programme acknowledges innovation and focuses external attention on examples of best practice

Client Brief The BCO Awards at Grosvenor House is the finale of a series of regional roadshows, so the attendees, nominees and winners were the best of the best from a gruelling selection process. The BCO branding was very important, as were the images of the nominated developments and recognition of the teams.

Our solution The Corporate Events proposal incorporated that BCO branding was to be the key focus to the set structure, providing a “living” 3D brand extension. We created a set of large 3D logo’s, mounted on stand-off pins onto the set panels. We provided a central 16:9 widescreen and two smaller outrigger screens suspended over the star cloth either side of the set to allow clear sightlines

for the entire audience. To augment the theatre of the event production, we created a “green room” backstage and made a feature of the awards presenters coming out from back stage.

Working in tandem with the physical set and stage structure, the on screen content was a key asset to the event. It involved a dynamic animated opening sting which included all the nominees and media assets for the event into a cohesive design. There was also the show presentation slides – created in Keynote - which had to keep the same theme as the sting.

Key focus was the nominee images and team name slides which needed to be displayed in a clear but creative way to make them stand out, but also to follow the collateral from the event sales collateral. Our internal creative team provided an innovative yet engaging response to this difficult brief.

Working with the in-house AV production team, Corporate Events made best use of the venues fixtures, while adding the unique production assets that created a memorable event.

Not every event production company can offer filming. Even fewer can offer full HD quality. We’ve invested in the latest HD cameras and edit suite to give our clients the very highest quality. Allied this to our experienced camera crew and we can film your event, edit it on site and have it finished that evening for you to use the next day.

Event Consumer Tracking Programme Awards

Backgroundhim! is a retail research consultancy which speaks to over 100,000 customers face-to-face each year to better understand, forecast and advise what customers want.

Client Brief We were engaged to deliver an awards show production which had to reflect a circus theme. The venue was a purpose built marquee that had several limitations meaning we had to work closely with the marquee builders to ensure health and safety compliance was achieved.

Our solution We designed and built a themed stage set that was reflective of the brand and complimented the venue incorporating into the design a backstage green room where presenters and sponsors could relax and watch the proceedings before entering the stage. A secondary stage was installed which the roller skate performers could be completely visible to all guests.

On top of building the set and finishing rehearsals by 3pm we also had to liaise with entertainers and performers arriving from all over Europe to arrange a rehearsal schedule by this cut-off time.All video, graphics and music had to incorporate the theme of the circus which was enhanced on the night by a live relay camera to the seamless projection screen. The footage from the evening was then produced into a post event video to be used on the clients website. During the evening awards a secondary production crew travelled to a local nightclub to set up and theme the venue using gobo projecting logos and lighting.

Resultshim! were delighted with the production and the client has engaged Corporate Events to produce the 2011 show.

Client Events 4 Healthcare

Event ABPI Annual Conference & Gala Dinner

Venue The Brewery, London

BackgroundABPI is the trade association for more than 90 companies in the UK producing prescription medicines for human use. Its member companies research, develop, manufacture and supply more than 80% of the medicines prescribed through the National Health Service (NHS).

The ChallengeWe were engaged to deliver a conference during the day with top table sessions and a recognition gala dinner in the evening including an awards presentation. We were required to build a custom made set and create some on screen content to reflect the client’s logo.

Our solution Working closely the client we established a set and stage which complimented and promoted the ABPI logo and theming throughout. This enabled the conference and recognition gala dinner to be completely branded and themed by the client’s logo.

The logo was incorporated throughout the venue – we did this by lighting outside the venue in the courtyard with the ABPI branded logo. This ensured that theming was kept at the forefront of the delegates mind from the offset.

We carried out filming of interviews and consequently edited the footage of the interviews. The edits would then be used within the conference create elements of discussion and provoking view points throughout the conference.

Corporate Events created and produced an ABPI sting which included full animation set to music of the ABPI logo.

Corporate Events produced a custom made lectern with in-built 24-inch screen which acted as a holding slide to show the name, title and company of the presenter. This ensured that the presenter’s details were fully visible to the audience and also acted as a form of screen signage.

ResultsCorporate Events produced full AV production including pre-event filming and onsite support for the ABPI Conference and Recognition Gala Dinner for 650 people at The Brewery, London, with positive delegate and client feedback.

Client Tandberg

Event Sales Kick off 2010

BackgroundTandberg is the market share leader and the fastest growing company in the telepresence and video conferencing.

The ChallengeHaving worked with Tandberg before Corporate Events were appointed as the preferred supplier for this event. Our challenges were numerous and varied including creating a three screen set, a stage extension that would fit onto the existing venue stage that would work as both a conference platform and performance stage for a live band, turn around the dining room to accommodate an awards dinner for 450 delegates, provide a further stage and AV production within a 17th century church for the second night gala dinner, and coordinate 14 concurrent syndicate rooms with live video links to Oslo, New York and a North Sea oil rig.

Our solution We started off by producing a scale model of Tandberg’s T3 product which produced a huge wow factor. We also undertook a time and motion study to ensure that we could turn around the dining area

within the four hour window and implement a second crew to rig and run the gala dinner show. While the gala dinner show was running we had a third crew set up and sound check the live act on the main stage ready for a two hour party. We prepared both of these rooms overnight and rigged the 17th century church during the second event day for the off-site entertainment, creating a set and live performance stage in keeping with the event branding and theme. The final conference day began with a live event edit of video highlights from the first two days which was produced overnight by our on-site video crew.

ResultsWe delivered a totally seamless multi-room and multi-venue event production using technology to the best possible effect, maximizing the delegate experience while aligning the set and stage architecture to reflect Tandberg’s leading products.

BackgroundHSBC is one of the largest banking and financial services organisations in the world. with over 2,000 Independent Financial Advisors (IFA’s) offering their clients the latest and most competitive financial products.

The ChallengeWe were once again asked to deliver the IFA road show throughout the UK. The objective was to engage, educate and motivate the audience to provide their clients with the very best financial products on the market. With the inevitable costs of taking IFAs off the road, the challenge was to design an agenda with maximum impact, education and a measurable return while adhering to all HSBC brand guidelines.

Our solution Delegates were given different coloured agendas splitting the group between providers, training seminars, and a large provider market hall enabling one-to-one discussions. The delegates were tasked with engaging with every provider during the day by having a delegate card stamped which also enabled them to give feedback on every aspect of the event. To close the event delegates received a motivational talk from Olympian bronze medallist Steve Smith.

Delegates were asked for their feedback immediately after each event which was fed back to HSBC the very same day. The road show was a resounding success with delegates scoring each event over 94%. As the financial landscape changes delegate feedback is used in discussions with HSBC to develop and continually evolve the event year on year.

BackgroundCanalys consulting serves the custom needs of clients across the high-tech industry. Its visionary work has led to innovative go-to-market models, renewed product portfolios, brand extensions, sharpened marketing activities, more effective channel structures and improved market-driven strategies.

The ChallengeCanalys engaged Corporate Events to manage the production of the Channels Forum in Barcelona which is the biggest and most influential independent industry channel conference in EMEA. The brief was to provide a solution that engaged the audience of key IT professionals in the plenary and breakout sessions, assist with the management of 1500 one-to-one meetings across two days and theme an exclusive gala dinner in the Opium nightclub.

Our solution Corporate Events displayed a complete understanding of the constraints of working within the twin venues, having worked in both venues previously. A flexible solution was proposed, which maximised full use of the hotels meeting rooms and public spaces. To provide the most cost effective solution and augment our production solution, Corporate Events engaged with approved Spanish suppliers to complement the fluid nature of the technical requirements.

We also provided a full support structure for over 30 IT OEM vendors who exhibited at the event, as well as speaker management for the range of international presenters.

In addition to providing a full production service for the main plenary room, 12 breakout rooms, registration support, event branding and pre-event liaison with vendors, Corporate Events also filmed the keynote addresses, 24 analyst interviews and from our on-site production studio produced edits of the conference and gala dinner which were used for conference openers and closers on day two of the conference.

BackgroundNow in its 9th successive year Euro PD brought together 2,500 of Europe’s leading experts in the field of peritoneal dialysis. The theme ‘PD for all’ combined the expert views of generalists and peritoneal dialysis specialists throughout Europe.

The ChallengeWe were once again chosen by event managers In-Conference Ltd to provide all audio visual production, HD filming, and audience response and branding throughout the theatre and seminar areas. The challenge was to provide an HD screen with enough clarity to project highly complex medical slides to 2,500 delegates and to also project onto the screen live camera feeds, branding, advertising and EuroPD news programs throughout the event. The client also required audience voting pads with the results projected live onto the screen as well as full AV support throughout the seminar and master-classes areas.

Our Solution Working closely with the venue we designed and constructed a 52ft screen with three blended projectors utilising Spyder to control multiple inputs and camera feeds. We provided all AV production throughout the theatres and worked with the key event sponsors to provide additional branding to raise their profile throughout the conference.

Live filming was used to create news bulletins which were relayed on the screen and plasmas positioned throughout the theatre.
