Today I spent the day with Matt and his team at Cornish Paws. The day did not start well. My Mum forgot to feed me breakfast. I tried to remind her but she just didn’t get the message! Once I arrived at Cornish Paws things did get better. Vicky, one of the nurses, made such a fuss of me and I got a lot of attention and cuddles. I also really liked watching the strange fish in the big glass box in reception, although I couldn’t seem to catch them. I vaguely remember being given an injection but I must of fallen asleep after that. When I woke up I felt a little woozy but thankfully Vicky was there with more fuss and spent time hand feeding me, which was a relief after the disaster at breakfast time. I did have a funny t-shirt on and a strange tube attached to my leg. It wasn’t long before Vicky removed the tube from my leg and took me outside to go to the toilet. In the afternoon my Mum came back to take me home and she had bought me a new toy. Over the next few days I was given a really tasty medicine every morning, which was nice but my Mum just wouldn’t listen when I kept asking to go out for a run. I did get to go back to Cornish Paws again a few days later and I got more cuddles with Matt and Vicky. After this Mum started taking me out for walks but for some reason she wouldn’t let me off the lead and we didn’t go very far. It was quite frustrating. After another few days I went back to Cornish Paws again. Again Matt and Vicky were there with lots of fuss. I really felt like entertaining them as if I hadn’t see them for years but this was odd as I’d only seen them a few days before. Afterwards, my Mum finally got the message, took my silly t-shirt off and took me to the beach so I could get back to work chasing that pesky ball. Apparently I’ve now been neutered, whatever that means! Clover, Cocker Spaniel. cornish paws Catch Up Based in Penryn, Cornish Paws is a new family run independent veterinary practice.
