Disputes: Every animal sells to the highest bidder and in the case of disputes, the auctioneer’s decision will be final. Announcements from the auction block take precedence over the printed matter in the catalog.

Purchaser’s Risk: Each animal becomes the risk of the purchaser as soon as sold. Insurance will be available sale day.

Breeder’s Guarantee: All bulls have been registered, unless indicated in the catalog, and papers will be transferred to the new owner. All bulls sold are guaranteed to the standard breed association guarantees. In no event shall the seller be responsible for reimbursing more than the purchase price.

Trucking: Cattle can leave that day and please make arrangements to do so. We will take $50 off the price of the bulls if taken home on sale day. If you are unable to truck any cattle on sale day, please contact the particular breeder and arrangements can be made to load cattle the following day.

Delivery: Free delivery within 300 kms of home at the seller’s earliest convenience after the sale, unless other arrangements have been made.

Welcome! So much of what we do throughout the whole year is based around our bull sale, choosing sire’s that will enhance our program and become reliable building stones in yours.

We are very excited about our new purchase of Red Angus cows from Den-nis & Shelley Ericson of Get-a-Long Stock Farms and from the Monea’s of Brox Stock Farms, we spent four days choosing 45 cows right off the top from 150 second and third calvers. Twenty of these cows were chosen with bull calves at side sired by calving ease bulls such as Hitch, Iceman and Economy. A very nice addition to our bull pen. In December when the Willabar Dispersal catalogue came out so did our weakness. We purchased right from the top and came home with a fancy set of Black cows with some exciting services to Iron Mountain and CC-7. What a great way to end 2011. The proven cows in our herd that stem back to the Stevick’s original Angus herd have been a pillar in our program. Even in the lean times in the industry these cows have pulled their weight. We still maintain a commercial herd as well and they have done the same, weaning off an average of 650 - 700 lb steers in the fall each year.

Thank you for coming to our annual Field Day back in August. It’s a great day and it’s a good excuse for a break before harvest as well as a chance to see the bulls with cows at side. Please check back with us for the date of our 2012 Field Day, coming in August.

We appreciate your confidence in our program. As you know, we are very particular about the cattle. Any bull that we don’t appreciate in our bull pen for any reason, won’t be in yours. Brown Creek bulls were fed at Claresholm Beef Producers and fed responsibly for a target of 3 lbs. a day. All bulls are semen tested and ultra sounded. Carcass data will be available on sale day. His Smash 41N dam is a direct daughter of 51L, a Sunflower cow that seems to be in the pedigree of all of our top producing cattle. These next five half brothers are so close and tight that I’m going to sum them up with one set of footnotes. Iceman 8U is a heifer bull with performance and a total outcross pedigree in the Red Angus breed. In lots 22 thru 24 there is style, muscle and character. I really like these Iceman bulls. Their mothers are fantastic with everything right about them. Lots 22 and 23 are dark red bulls while lot 24 is a little on the lighter color. This has been quite a busy year for me, not only do I have a very active one year old, but I have also changed jobs, moved back down south and am engaged to be married! There are no better people to take over my herd and operation than my parents, Bill and Cecile Homans of Cornerview Ranch. As many of you know, while I was away at University and working in Beiseker, my parents managed my cow herd for me, so this has been an easy transition. Mom and Dad’s two bits…

It’s been several years now that we have worked with Amanda and her bulls, and along the way we have purchased her heifer calves and started our own purebred herd. Our intentions when breeding either with leading AI or our herd sires, are to produce a product that we believe in and fully stand behind. All of the bulls have been ivomeced twice, are up to date with their vaccinations and ready to go to work in their new home.

Over this past summer and fall, we have expanded our herd with a hand full of purebred red Angus females pur-chased from Dennis and Shelley Ericson. The intention here is to put together true F1 cross bulls. We have also got our feet wet with some black Simmentals purchased from Remington’s dispersal and some more from Murray Jacobson of Anchor J. These bulls are going to be coming to you in the 2013 bull sale.

Red Doc is our youngest bull in the offering but certainly not lacking in any department. He has in his pedigree a splash of fullblood on his dam’s side.
