Burnham-on-Crouch’s sailing pedigree comes from a long history of determined individuals who
wanted to make the sport available to everyone by encouraging smaller racing vessels and a community
of support to make the sailing more a�ordable.
Today there are now four clubs (Royal Corinthian Yacht Club, The Royal Burnham Yacht Club, Crouch
Yacht Club and Burnham Sailing Club) with the Royal Corinthian clubhouse being the glorious Grade II
listed building designed by Joseph Emberton.
Sailing has never been so easy to enjoy and with the ever growing maritime community, you can enjoy the competitive side of yachting as well
as taking part in established events such as the annual Burnham Week – a renowned national
regatta established in 1893.
