Routine and Core Analysis Introduction: EPRI-Core Lab was established in 1995 as a Technical Strategic Alliance Agreement between Egyptian Petroleum Research Institute and Core Laboratories International for providing a comprehensive range of core analyses and sedimentology. EPRI-Core Lab is totally committed to a program of investment ensuring the expansion and development of the laboratories for the future. For the last ten years, EPRI-Core Lab used to service to most of the exploration and production companies working in Egypt. EPRI-Core Lab presents this training course in order that the specialist will learn core analysis, objectives of core analysis, coring requirements and techniques, and types of core analysis. Who should attend? Petroleum, Drilling and Reservoir Engineers. Geologists. Analytical Specialists. Topics: Routine core analyses: o Rock Properties o Core Sampling and Preservation o Measurements of Basic Rock Properties Special Core Analysis o Sampling Required for Special Core Analysis Testes o Capillary Pressure Tests o Formation Resistively Measurements o Water Flood Tests in Oil and Gas Reservoir o Relative Permeability o Wetability Studies o Pore Volume Compressibility Lecturer: Dr. Mahmoud El-Batanoney the former director of EPRI is currently managing Core Lab Analysis Center, Egyptian Petroleum Research Institute. He holds B.sc, M.sc and Ph.D in Petroleum Engineering. He was participated in teaching several petroleum courses in Egyptian Faculty of Engineering. He also participated in teaching training courses for engineers and operators for different oil companies. He published 50 papers in the international recognized journals and conferences.
