Research in Progress: I am working on a cultural history of the Jewish State Theater (TES) in Bucharest, Romania, from its establishment in 1948 to the present. I seek to uncover the factors that made this founding possible as well as situate the theater in the historical, cultural, and political context of Communist and post-Communist Romania. Scholarship
