Program and Events Intern

• Compiled enrollment information concerning the five Barakat schools located in Pakistan and Afghanistan by

communicating with the country directors and prepared a PowerPoint detailing trends for school management.

• Assisted in the planning of “Walk for Literacy” which included administrative support and communicating with 100+

donors which effectively led to breaking the organization’s record in funds raised.

• Researched and compiled information on prospective businesses donors for the “One for Education” campaign that

seeks to raise $1 million in a year that will go towards schools in Pakistan, Afghanistan, and India.

• Organized a silent auction for “Engage, Educate, and Empower,” an event that collects items from over 100 businesses

and restaurants in the Boston area in order to raise funds for Barakat’s schools.

• Answered phone calls, responded to emails, assisted with mailing, wrote a range of correspondence letters, and

maintained donor databases.

• Supported GSO Consumer Reports by preparing supplemental information derived from discussions held at UN and

ILO meetings.
