Who are we?

Established in 1976, Corewire Limited is one of the world’s leading producers of flux cored welding consumables and machines for hardfacing and maintenance applications within the steel production, forging, quarrying, mining, cement, material handling and off highway equipment sectors amongst others. Following considerable development, Corewire products are now offered under the Corewire, Weldclad, Forgeweld and Cortech brands in recognition of the underlying technology and demands of client industries.

The quality and consistency of our products along with continued customer satisfaction is the foundation of our success and growth. This is achieved through low volume batch production, continual production assessment, sampling and testing along with the employment of the industry’s highest manufacturing tolerances. In addition, and in order to achieve and maintain this high level of consistency and satisfaction we only manufacture our flux cored wires in the UK. We are proud to be ISO9001 accredited.

HARDFACING CONSUMABLESCorewire branded products are designed for general hardfacing, repair and maintenance. The Corewire range of welding consumables includes low-alloy, tool steel, chrome carbide and complex carbide products. Corewire products are used extensively in the mining, quarrying, cement, agriculture, off highway and rail industries amongst others.

Weldclad is recognised as a world leader in the manufacture of submerged arc welding consumables and machines for the cladding of rolls, and associated components, used in steel making and non-ferrous industries. The product range includes proprietary tool steels and stainless steels designed to provide resistance to corrosion, wear and thermal fatigue.

The Forgeweld range of welding consumables and machines are designed specifically for the repair and reclamation of open and closed forging dies, tools and auxiliary equipment used in the forging industry. The product range extends from low-alloy products for local repair of forging furniture to nickel based materials for the repair of open-forging hammers.

High performance clad rollsCortech high performance clad rolls set the standard for new roll manufacture and are available for a range of applications throughout the continuous caster, hot strip mill and downstream processing lines. Utilising the Weldclad brand of machines and consumables and employing our global knowledge, experience and strategies.
