    General core stacking instruction

Subject: General assembly rule for core preparation, manufacturing and control

Preparations: Preparing the proper size of platform, setting based on the clamping drawings, Put the woodfloor. Checking the parts of clamping frame, especially the dimensions and threads.

Operations: Setting of the parts of the clamping based on the drawings. The placement of the flitch plates, upper and lower beam is horizontal and in proper level. The matching of the flitch plate clamping plate and the beam is without gap. - The storing plates of core sheet is placed as the sheets are not bending just slideing. - Prepare for working the insulation material. - Place and set the clamping insulation -Place the stacking pin supports, two per each limb and two for each yoke

Picture 1 - Support for stacking pin

    - Place the first layer of sheets and set. Important: no gap at the joint. Check the position to clamping frame. - Putting the stacking pin to the support fitting precisely to the first sheets holes. - Pull the pins over the sheets and set the exact vertical position by a spirit level. With the 4 screws of the support can be set the vertical position.

    - The two middle bolts should be tightening if the position is set.

Picture 2 first sheets set down, before setting the exact vertical position of the pins

    - The exactly set pins ensure the proper position of the next sheets. - The sheets should be perfectly horizontal, no bending is allowed. - The design must be followed by number of the sheets per steps, the place of the insulation and the cooling channels - During the stacking the pin must not stand out by more than 50-60 mm over the sheets, not to disturb the stacking. - The stacking pins position should be set higher after stacking 20-30 mm. - Continuous checking of the dimensions is necessary. If there is cooling channel should be done before building in, if there is no oil channel at the half of the whole core.

picture 3 half core before measuring

    - For measuring a weight should be put on the sheets carefully. The measurement should be performed on limbs and yokes. - In case of dimension difference correction should be done. In case of minus result the cor-rection shell be done in the widest sheets. In case of plus uniformly shall be decreased the sheet numbers in each steps. - Last measurement shall be done at finishing the core. In case of plus, sheets shall be re-moved from the last step. In case of minus the design office will take the decision. +2/-4 mm difference is acceptable.

    General core stacking instruction

    - The insulation is placed and set. - Place and set the beams and flitch plates, taking care for the ploper position of the insula-tion.

Piture 5 Core with cooling channel and lower beam

    - Assemble the side bridges, screws, upper bridges, place the insulations based on the draw-ings and fix them. - Place the side bridges and insulations, prepare yoke tightening bandage, assemble to the lower beam - Assemble and glue the span wooden parts with the pressboard and place them. - Screw the beams together the insulations based on the designs. - Assemble the bottom supports - Mix the A and B component of the Plamuur type resin (according to the quantity small quantity of B component catalyzer would be necessary) Warning!! Cant touch eye!!!

    - Take the mixed resin to the filling tube. the gap between the core and lower support arch-ing wood to be filled. - No any activity can be done on the clamping till the resin cured.

After the curing. - Tighten the limbs. Place the temporary pressing woods, tighten the screws starting from the lower beam. - At the upper beam the side and upper bridges tighten, the two beams are pulled together with temporary bandage. - Place set able bends on limbs if necessary

    Picture 6 Assembled core

    - Assebly the stacking platform - Wedge the lower support to the stacking platform. The limbs are fixed to the stacking plat-form by set able bends. - Stand up the core together the stacking platform. - Fix the core to the crane. Remove the set able bends. Remove the core from the platform, lay back the platform. - Check the bolts, retighten if necessary. Check the insulation. - Lacquer the limbs - Place the bandages on the limbs - The temporary support woods can be removed after the placement of the bandages. - Equipotental cables are to be mounted. - Quality control is checking the core
