CORDinc. is a complex community that started in2007 with a very small and humble event. Thevent was based on a dream that kept growing andgrowing until we reached the current Vision andMission

CORD MissionIncreasing the technology awareness among theEgyptian and Arabian Community through everychannel available to reach people in their different

environments and help them discover theirinnovation and creativity developing a productive

mindset to help their countries grow.

CORDine. DescriptionCORD started as a small student activity in the Faculty ofEngineering, Ain Shams University and after the first eventwas a success with 15 teams building their robots for the firsttime, the impact on the participants called out eagerly forvertical and horizontal expansion so, turned to friends in theFaculty of Engineering, Alexandria University, and the firstevent there was a much even larger success. From that

moment on, relying on any community inhibitors to help startCORDian branches in the lowest amount of time with their

    experience of the environment.CORDine. Introduction

There are two main projects within CORDinc.; profitableprojects controlled and organized by the company, and thereis also the project started it all, in a Community Service

Program" CSP" form. There are student activities franchisedand given the title name CORDian Branch. The director ofeach branch is considered a temporary employee in thecompany along hislher year presidency period and is

responsible to protect the CORDian theme and identity whileexecuting his plan along with serving the general CORDian

plan put by the company "CORDinc." board.

    CORDine. CEO word

"Many people quit because they think they can't, somepeople believe they can but, few take the initiativeconvinced that they can help others believe they can ..."

he idea of CORDwas born many years before it becameeasible, and took more time before it came to reality but,the reason it became feasible is the belief in change andthe reason it came to reality is the Hard-Teamwork.I take my vow today that CORD win reach further andhigher than anyone ever imagined because there arepeople out there, some known and some aren't, who

believes in it and we can't let them down.

he robot is simply an arm or any other mechanical device thatits specific the maximum circular station area restriction. Theechanical device is required to transfer a load of sand from onepot to 90 degree position with minimum losses, Each robot isimited by a 5 min round in which the robot collects as much sands it can. Sand must pass across neither the building nor thetation circle centre.he final result is then calculated as the amount of delivered sandinus the amount lost equalling the final effective loadransferred. The restrictions that controls the mechanical device

to shift the attention of the participant to the way ofransferring the load through the 90 degree distance rather thannly taking care of holding the sand to try and duplicate a real life.

s for the core of the competition "Advanced electronics", this yeare robot needed is considered as a combination of last yearompetitions in Egy &Alexhranches. Awireless Automatic robotasked to enter a savannah grass forest maze and search for someeer along the maze and basically hunt them using a water gun.he competition is limited with a 5min per round so, the robot hasminimum average speed limit if it's going to participate. If abot doesn't reach the finish line it is considered out of theompetition for the first prize. The robotearns its points byrossing the maze on time and on how much deer it hunted.obots must hunt with water gun with maximum tank capacity.he main rule is that you hunt a deer and not to over run it.Also the robot is limited by the amount ofwater it's used during

he robot enters a maze of shops that hegins with a bank fromhich the robot prepares for the :restless shopping trip. At theeginning of the maze the robot collects a number of coins fromhe bank then, the robot encounter 5 shops fromwhich it redeemsoins for parts and 2 gates that also need coins for a pass.ach part has a specificprice and shape. By the end of the mazehe robot should have exchanged all the coins for parts and is nowaded with these parts. After crossing the maze with the partshe robot is then asked to put them in their specified places toomplete the task of building a robot.

n the beginning of this track, the robot faoes its first obstacle aegment of the track is divided in to sand and a broken bridge. Theobot should cross that segment as fast as it could or it might be aictim for immobility. Mer crossing the first obstacle the robotmmediately enters a competition with both his right and lefteighbours. The track is designed to take four robots at a roundnd each robot is asked to place 4 triangles in four places thenlaces a pyramid in the centre of the playground. The pyramid andhe triangles are made from Ping Pong balls glued together. Therick lies in sharing two triangle final destinations with both youright and left opponents and the centre destination for theyramid is shared by the four robots.Whoever places his triangleirst gets more points than the one placing it over and the first__ pyramid to be placed ends the round.

his competition is more of a dream than just a fightover the firstlace. This year the competition core of free styling takes a differenturn, instead ofjust a competition, we will dream for a future andake steps for it.he competition's project should be an ancient invention from anyra, done byArabian inventors or other inventors. You are asked toind a simple invention from the past that was a huge start ofnovation or new technology, keeping in mind that the project muste a dynamic one. Your project could be the Wright Brothers' planer James Watt's steam engine or even the elephant clockof

woways to enter this competition; a working dynamic prototypelong with a small simple study ofhow the actual size would beuild and what are its requirements. The other way is that you buildn actual working model. Also you can always mix and mashetween the two ways.he output of the competition will be a series of inventions done orbout to be done by Arabian and Egyptian students in the quest ofeveloping a new culture and civilization base on the understandinghe technologies rather than pure consumption.he projects will be our mile stone for the next CORDian project, rotosium "The Museum ofancient technology built by Egyptians"

his competition requires a stationary robot capable of heavyeight lifting, The competition is simply a heavy lifting of 3uman lifting weights of 1Kg, 2 Kg and 5 Kg, The weights arerranged in an arc of a circle of 80 em diameter of the stationaryrea centre of the robot, hen the robot is asked to lift these weights to its stations ofrogressive steps of 10em, 20 em, andSflcm. The heaviest weighthould be at the first step while the lightest weight should rest upigh at the highest point of the stairs, The stairs are shaped in anrc of the same radius of 40 em,he robot should have a maximum base of 40 em and should bemmobile, The robot could be in the form of a robotic armontrolled by a wired remote control

Stairs steps and initial weights stations are separated by a 60Degree of an angle

Beginnershe robot is asked to use 5 regular 30 em rulers to build a bigeautiful gate. There is 6 rulers available as there is one for sparef any problem might happen with the robot. The robot is asked toorm the first 4 rulers into a form of two don't cross sign and thenut the 5th ruler over that structure to finally have the gate.he robot can only handle one ruler at a time so, storageagazines are not allowed in the robot however; the robot is freeo use the competitions play ground as it wants.

he robot is asked to at least continue the first phase to its verynd in order to be eligible for wining. All the turn will be towardshe right except for the semnd phase with its fences turning left.

Simple maze robot, the second phase is only abonus for further thinking.~

his competition's ultimate test is for the mechanical speed andurability. The robot is asked to handle 3 rings different in sizesnd transfer them from a pin to another with the aid of a thirdin, the big rule is that you must not at any time have a big ringver a small ring and you can only handle one ring at a time.hen you think about this IQ game, you will find that the ringsan only be transferred at a certain procedure to satisfy the rulesnd that will require the robot to repeat the workover and overgain testing the durability.he robot dimensions are limited by a maximum station area of 20m in diameter. The robot should be immobile and the pins withne of them initially holding the rings will be placed in an arcadius of 20 em. The ring will be made from a light materialFoam" so, the problem lies only in the robot's durability and

ings dimensions: 5 em, 10 em, 15 em and the pin is a regular penith its regular height and diameter.
