I am sure we all have looked at a painting or drawing done by a famous artist and thought-wow!what imagination and skill - it looks so real.

I would bet you have struggled to create realistic art from your imagination, seeing what you want but finding it hard to make it look real on paper or canvas.

Its truly amazing that great artists of couldrecord so clearly the images from their imagination, they must have been genius to be able to draw or paint such realistic characters, scenes and events out of their head.

These paintings are testament to the artists genius.

It’s amazing! how did the artists get the lighting and color correct?

It must be a gift, to know how to paint like that from one’s imagination and make it look so real.

If you had models to arrange and dress in costume, do you think it would be easier to create the scenes you imagine?

Here we can clearly see the model; dressed and on a stand to get the right look of sitting on a horse, along with the finished painting.

Even without live models artists were able to use specially designed mannequins to get the correct proportion, light, value, intensity etc., in the painting.
