Personal Reflection Exercises...I give myself permission to be healthy in

body, mind, and spirit.

I give myself permission to behealthy in body, mind, and spirit.

I have the freedom to lavishly nourish mybody, mind and spirit. It is more than okayfor me to pamper my body with massagesand skin moisturizers. It is more than okayfor me to indulge my mind in a greatbook. It is more than okay for me tospend time building myself up in prayer.

To nurture my body, I regularly take timeto exercise. My exercise routine,combined with a healthy diet, is myrecipe for a better me.

Getting a full night of restful,uninterrupted sleep is also a priority thatcontributes to my physical health. I top allof this off with good habits, which includekeeping toxins out of my system. My mind is the starting line of mythoughts, feelings and actions;therefore I must cultivate it. I challenge mymind daily. My schedule always has roomfor a good read.

My mind is trained to focus on delightfulthings. I protect my eyes, ears and heartfrom negativity by limiting the time I

spend in front of the TV. Instead, I gooutside and take in the beautiful sights andsounds of nature.

I maintain a healthy spirit by feedingit a balance diet of love andreflection. Reflecting helps me identifyand avoid situations that have a negativeimpact on my spirit. I spend my timedoing the things I love. I am sensitive tothe spirit within me and listen to its voice.

It is more than okay for me to have ahealthy mind, body and spirit because thetrio helps me to live my best life.

Personal Reflection Exercises...I have no need to hold onto reminders of

addiction. There is no use for them in my life.

I let go of reminders of addictions. Thereis no use for them in my life because Iknow that I am far stronger than mycravings. Instead, I focus on what I knowto be true as I move into a healthierlifestyle.

I know that cravings are an inevitable partof addiction and that sometimes they canbe so powerful that they eclipse all else. Atthese times, there is only so much I can doto make them disappear, so I simply ridethem out.

I do not degrade myself for havingcravings because I know that it is my actions that matter.

I do not pretend that things are easy whenthey are not. I know that being honestwith my feelings and admitting mystruggles yields ever-increasingmaturity, which helps me on my journeytoward recovery.

I know that I am not alone. I have letgo of the idea that no one else wouldunderstand.

In reality, I know that many, many peoplehave gone through the same struggles asme. They understand very well what it islike and they are more than willing to helpme through this time in my life, when Iallow them to.

I seek out these people and takeadvantage of their support because I knowthat by being open, honest, andsurrounded by understanding individuals,I can develop into the multi-dimensional,healthy person that I was created to be.

I take care of my body because it is theonly one I have. As a gift from my Creator,my body deserves to be treated withdignity and respect.

I am the only person accountable forwhat goes into my body. I take thatresponsibility very seriously because Iwant to keep it nourished and satisfied inorder to be able to enjoy all other areas oflife.

I eat balanced meals every day that supplymy body all the nutrients it needs tofunction well. I follow the guidelines ofwhat a person my age should eat. Iactively research the latest informationfrom health professionals on foods.

I choose foods that are free frompesticides and preservatives in order tokeep my body clean. Before I eat, I alwayswash my fruits and vegetables carefully.

Daily, I reap the rewards of a healthylifestyle through renewed strength andenergy. When I practice healthyhabits, I feel alive, alert, and happy.

Although I enjoy food, I eat only as anecessity of living. I stay away fromunhealthy social eating. My mind is strongenough for me to make dietary changes toimprove my overall well-being.

When I fill up with healthy fuel, my engineruns smoothly. I enjoy the expeditionof life much more when my vehicle isin good repair.

Today, I choose fuels that are healthy andI keep my body running smoothly becauseI am worth it.

Personal Reflection Exercises...The more I take care of myself, the

better I feel.

The more I take care of myself, thebetter I feel.

Naturally, being healthy feels goodphysically, but it also feels good spiritually.

I take care of myself by eating healthyfoods and drinking plenty of water. I alsotake care of myself by getting enoughexercise and sleep. Doing these thingsmakes me feel good physically as myhealth improves each day. I am strongand I am fit.

When I take care of myself in these ways Iam also made better in spirit and as awhole. My mind is clearer and my body isstrong. My spirit is fortified because of thethings I do to take care of myself. Themore I do these things the better I feel; Ihave more energy and I think moreclearly. Even my mood is improved whenI take care of myself.

My body is strong and I feel powerfuland full of energy. I wake up rested inthe mornings and I am prepared forwhatever may come my way. My health isimproved and continues to get betterevery day.

Getting the rest and relaxation I need isalso a way in which I take care of myself.This fortifies my mind and spirit as well asmy body.

Today, I will continue to focus on takingcare of myself, meeting my needs andimproving my body, mind and spirit.

I will eat healthy foods, drink plenty ofwater, get exercise, and spend some timerelaxing before getting plenty of sleep. Iwill breathe in my health and exhalean improved me.
