Make a list Create a list of everyone you know and have known, whether or not you know where they are today. Circulate the list to people you have stayed in touch with and they can often fill in the blanks, reintroduce you and even remind you of others who would be worthwhile to connect with. 2. Perform a Google search 3. Contact your undergraduate or business school You may score current contact information by responding to requests from your alma maters' alumni association. 4. Use social networks Look up old colleagues on LinkedIn, Plaxo, Jigsaw, Brightfuse and Facebook. Many of these sites have search functions where you can search by company -- even if someone has left the organization, there's a good chance they've listed it in their previous work history.LinkedInPlaxoJigsawBrightfuseFacebook 5. Fill in the gaps If you are missing links in your network, you must replace or renew them. When you cant physically be in the office for meetings you need to be open to other ways your boss and co-workers can communicate with you, such as videoconferences and conference calls. 2. Look online. In many cases, flexible work involve telecommuting. What better way to find a flexible job then using your computer? Look for sites that specialize in flexible jobs, such as flexjobs.com.flexjobs.com 3. Show your boss the benefits. Whether youre looking for a new gig with flexible hours or want flexible hours at your current job, you need to show your boss how it will benefit her. 4. Be open minded. Just because a job may not openly state flexible hours doesnt mean its not possible. Employers may make exceptions if they really want you on their team. 5. Be dedicated and disciplined. A flexible job likely means not having to clock in at the office every day.
