Safety / Construction Requirements

• Safety is a component of our Guiding Principles at The Boeing Company. We recognize that safety is everyone's responsibility and the successful construction team will keep safety in the forefront of all activities.

• GC shall provide safety orientation to all employees, subcontractor personnel, Boeing employees, Boeing representatives and Agencies.

• GC shall provide FOD training to all employees and subcontractor employees.

• All local and federal regulations shall be followed including the Boeing Service Provider Manual and all OSHA requirements.

• Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as outlined below shall be mandatory minimum for access to the construction site:

• Hard Hats• Sturdy, closed toe shoe• Latest ANSI Standard approved safety glasses & side shields• Long pants• Shirts with 4 inch minimum sleeve length• Class II reflective vest (outer garment)



Bid Highlights:

• Format: Firm Fixed Price Lump Sum

• Bid Walk: Tuesday, 7/8/14 9:30am EST

• Final Submittal of Bid Questions: Tuesday, 7/15/14 by 5pm EST

• Proposal Due date: Friday, 7/18/14 by 2pm EST

• Method of delivery: Email proposal to Purchasing Agent & deliver 6 printed copies of proposals to address provided.

• Boeing Terms and Conditions – Construction General Provisions

• Payment Terms: Net 30

• Payment schedule - Progress payments based on construction completion %’s.

Security Badge Requirements – Boeing Badges Required for all of GCs management

team and any employees required to enter Boeing Site. GC shall provide badges to all other employees

Traffic, speed limits, parking– Parking passes will be issued by Boeing PM Team

Quality Control

Quality is a paramount concern at Boeing

Boeing expects a quality product that provides a long serviceable life

Plans, specifications, and standards should be strictly adhered to

Testing and inspection must be given time to perform work

Contractor shall provide testing for all systems (electrical and mechanical)

– Owner shall be notified 48 hours in advance of testing

Soil testing done by Boeing’s third party testing service shall be binding unless there is evidence of an improper test procedure. Notification must be given immediately if the contractor wished to protest a test result.
