1a. Creating the score group

Path: Grading & Standards > Score Group/List

Note: The Score Group/List determines what will appear on the Standards Based Report Card.

The Score will be next to the standard and the Name will be listed in a Key.

If multiple marking systems are used (1-4, S-U) for different standards, create each system as a separate score group

1c. Creating the Standard(s)

New Standard- allows a student to be assessed multiple times for that standard to show growth over time

New One-time standard- once the student has mastered the skill, s/he is not re-assessed

Standards can only be created once. It is recommended to create different standards per grade and use the grade in the standard name. For example: [01] Works well in a group [02] Works well in a group

System Admin Set Up

A district curve for standards is used to calculate the score a student receives if assignments will be attached to standard tasks in the Lesson Planner/Gradebook and standard scores should be automatically calculated. Note: Teachers may create their own curve if this is allowed by the district.

Review

1. What is the difference between a one-time standard and a standard in Campus?

2. What set up must be done to make sure a teacher is able to assess a standard?

3. What are three different ways a teacher may assess a standard?

4. What must be checked on the course tab so that the appropriate teacher’s name appears on a student’s report card?
