Density lab

We are going to try and make this work virtually. The pictures follow the order of what you would do.

For measuring volume, I tried to measure out 50 mL using a 250 mL beaker. I added green food coloring to make it a little easier to see.

Now I poured it into a graduated cylinder to see how accurate that is

And repeated

A third time

Regular Solids- Density blocks

The volume is given for you on the lab packet. The mass is measured below for each one

Regular Solid- Large cube

The unknown letter and mass are written on the block

And the length, width and height are below

And we are to repeat this with a second block

Length, width and height are below

Liquid- tap water

Here is an empty beaker

Here is the same beaker with the water added

Now I poured the water into a graduated cylinder

Irregular solid Aluminum

And the volume

This is a graduated cylinder with water

This is the same graduated cylinder with the aluminum included
