building.

The exclusive designs are printed on our quali-

tative Serge 600 fabric and as the standard

Serge 600 fabrics, the screens Impress® will

also be available in 3,20 m width!

The colours & patterns are printed in a thermal

way, with a special developed varnish to pro-

tect the inks. Thanks to the special printing pro-

cess, a long lasting colour fastness of the design

can be guaranteed. A special finish makes the

fabric extra water- and dirt-repellent.

The Impress® collection is a unique and exclu-

sive combination of trendy patterns and

colours, elaborated in four inspirational books.

About a year ago, we’ve successfully launched our first collection

Copaco® as being leading manufacturer of exterior sunscreen fabrics, is always

looking for new innovative products to offer to the market. We even think here

out of the box, which will diversify us from our competitors. Based on this view,

we decided to start up a partnership with the Belgian manufacturer Concordia

Textiles, who developed a new type of awning fabric, which is revolutionary into

the market. Concordia Textiles will be the manufacturer and Copaco the commercial

partner towards the sunscreen market. The new Solimbra® product fits perfect into

the policy of both companies, to come with innovative products in new or existing

markets, taking into consideration the ecological footprint.

The Solimbra® product is based on polyolefine materials, and is developed during

12 years. The product has a lot of positive properties, which are much better then

the existing acrylic fabrics, such as weight, thickness, colour stability (8/8), UV

resistance, water and dirt repellancy, mechanical properties which are double as

c onventional acrylic fabrics, … And last but not least: the fabric is weldable, which

means that the ondulations that occurs because of the sewing seam can be almost

excluded. And for all, this fabric is produced on an ecological base.

Ecological means also recycable. Solimbra® is completely recycable, and even a new

awning fabric can be produced with the same original properties.

This fabric is really revolutionary into the awning world.

Copaco® was the first to present on the R&T show 2012, a new interior sunscreen

fabric, which is based on recycable materials. This means that Copaco® is able

to make sunscreen fabric out of plastic bottles. After long development, we

succeeded to make this fabric also M1 fire retardant, which is unique.

This fabric is available in 2,5m and 3,2m width in a 3% openness factor, which makes

the product highly demanded into the worldwide market. Furthermore we don’t

choose for the standard colour pattern, but we looked with designers towards the

trends of the future and developed 8 stylish colours.

You will understand that Copaco® is leading the business, by being innovative and

trendsetter, by these ecological trendy products.

Already on the R&T show visitors thought this was one of the best products on the

show, and now we are ready to launch the product in the market.

generally smaller compared to our traditional

insectscreens, which results in a better view

and allows more light transmittance and air-

flow. Although the visibility is improved, the

fabric doesn’t loose his core function, meaning

protection against insects. With the Bellavista®

tion towards a higher dimension. The aim has

always been to combine an open screen with

Sales results 3,20 m

Keep your screens clean

Within the complete sunscreen range, Copaco®

also launched worldwide a few new and innova-

tive colours under the brand ‘Architects’ Selection’.

In the exterior sunscreens, the 6 new colours have

been well accepted. This is the proof that the market

was demanding for something new. Copaco® sets

the new standard.

Also for the interior blinds, the new Deco N203

colours are very popular. The biggest hit however

are the new bicoloured fabrics.

All these new colours proof that Copaco® follows

the trends in exterior and interior design, and

adapts his fabrics towards the newest trends.

We will continue as trendsetter, already started

with our new concept Small Batch “colours with

a passion” .

Since the beginning of 2012, Copaco® introduced the

largest glassfibre screen in the world. There is been

The last few years have been an extremely

innovative period of development for many

blind and shutter companies. The increasing

recognition by architects, engineers, property

owners and users that solar shading is an effec-

tive way of reducing energy use in both new

and refurbished buildings has led to further

developments in this field. Increasing legisla-

tion, regulation and energy costs mean we

The first trend has been given the name ‘Intellec-

tual Wellness’. Where man previously opted for

products based on functionality and pecuniary

value, you see now that sensory values such as

touch, smell, taste and sound are important. The

man would like to be surprised and seduced. This

comes back in the designs of a new generation

of designers using innovative materials that are

imperfect and in addition possess unique and

surprising textures, such as felt, weathered cop-

per, fine porcelain and lime paint. Colours that fit

are petroleum blue, warm sand, postman blue,

off-white and mauve.

‘Personal Impulse’ is the third trend. Every human

being is unique. This comes back in the contempo-

rary choice for expressive and personal products

where formerly mass products were in vogue.

Many modern buildings and their interiors tell a

personal story. Through the use of striking colours,

shapes and materials the environment has its own

identity. The market is currently an unpreceden ted

variety of mosaic tiles, papered, carpets and inte-

the funny and surprising elements in our living

The fifth trend, finally, was baptized ‘Human Tech’.
