Coon Creek Cemetery Coon Creek Cemetery has for years been a gathering place for friends and family on Memorial Day. Reminiscing is the order of the day. It was because of my memories that I am providing this information to help you recall a part of the past. Hopefully this will spark your memories and keep these loved ones who, although gone, are not forgotten. Land for the Cemetery was purchased from Johannon and Sarah R Smith for the sum of $10. It is believed they are buried here although their graves are unmarked. ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS Sources used: Wright County Historical Society publications, census records, old funeral home records, obituaries from Holman Howe Funeral Home, the Internet, Social Security Death Index and Missouri Death Certificates. Special Thanks to: Vicki Stewart who helped me with my first reading of this cemetery; Bob and Doris Allen who assisted with the research; Phyllis Rippee, who not only helped with research but gave me the encouragement to keep working on and completing this book. A VERY SPECIAL THANK YOU to my husband Lloyd Robertson, a long-time devoted caretaker of the cemetery. And for his patient understanding during the many hours it took for me to compile this information. *********************************************************************** Order of information: Name; dates; parents' names (with mother's maiden name); spouse and marriage date; children with daughter's married name and husband's given name; siblings with sister's married names and with husband’s given name. Coon Creek Cemetery

Coon Creek Cemetery has for years been a gathering place for friends and family on Memorial Day.
