· Uninterrupted measurement data recording, also with temporary radio interruption
· Simple commissioning
· User-friendly software
· Central overview of all measurement data
· Uninterrupted documentation of allmeasurement data
Typical applications:
·of the cooling chain in store rooms and cabinets
·of defined temperatures in large-scale kitchens andrestaurants
Conforms to important standards in the foodindustry (HACCP and EN 12830)

testo Saveris™ System overview

testo Saveris radio probe
testo Saveris radio probe
The testo Saveris radio probes measuretemperature and humidity. In the measuring cycle, the probes save the recorded measurement dataand send it to the central base at regular intervals. If a limit value is exceeded, a radio link isestablished immediately. Through bidirectionaltransmission, the radio probe and the base are inmutual contact. This therefore ensures that themeasurement data is only recorded by the baseand is not interfered with by other radio systems.
An alarm sounds in the event that the radio link beinterrupted by obstacles. The memory in the probeensures that the measurement data is not lost inthe event of an interference in the radio link. Anoptimized battery design ensures for long runninglife of the probe memory.
In free field, the transmission path is approx. 300m at a frequency of 868 MHz and approx. 100 mat a frequency of 2.4 GHz. In buildings, thetransmission path is strongly influenced bystructural conditions such as walls, refrigeratordoors or metal doors. The radio link can beimproved or lengthened with poor structuralconditions by using a router. Because the radioprobe and the router show the quality of their radiolink, the probe can personally be positionedoptimally by the user.
Probe versions with internal and external sensorsallow the adaptation to every application. The radioprobes are available with or without a display as anoption. Current measurement data, the batterystatus and the quality of the radio link are shownon the display.

testo Saveris base
The base is the heart of testo Saverisand can save 40,000 readings permeasurement channel independent ofthe PC. This corresponds to around oneyear of memory capacity at a measuringrate of 15 minutes. An emergencybattery ensures that an alarm istransmitted and that no existing data islost in the event of a power failure.
The system data and alarms are visiblevia the display of the Saveris base. Evenwithout the PC running, the base issuesan alarm by means of an LED if the limitvalue is exceeded, or optionally via SMSand via a relay output to which an alarmtransmitter can be connected.
testo Saveris software
The measurement data is transmittedfrom the base to a PC on which the testoSaveris software is installed within just afew minutes using an installation wizard. The initial system and probeconfiguration is also performed using thesoftware.
All measurement are saved centrally inthe software’s database and can becalled up any time as a table or agraphic. All alarms that occur are listed ina table as a history. The automaticcreation of PDF reports in definedintervals also simplifies thedocumentation. Using the calendarfunction and the consolidation of probesinto groups, the operation of thesoftware is simple and intuitive.
In the event of an alarm the user canchoose between receiving a message viae-mail or a pop-up directly on thescreen.
Further system possibilities
In addition to the radio probes, probescan be used that are directly connectedto the Ethernet. The existing LANinfrastructure can be used through this.
A network-compatible version of theSaveris software is also available. Furtherinformation on this is available from testoor from selected specialist retailers.
Examples of applications for testo Saveris™
Documentation and issuingalarms in bakeries and butchershops
The uninterrupted monitoring of the coolingchain is required for food specialist retailers. Fresh goods are required by the customerbut are at the same time required by thelegislation in the hygiene area.
testo Saveris automates the monitoring of theambient and product temperatures in storerooms, cold rooms, freezer areas and cooledsales counters. Naturally an alarm is issuedimmediately whenever a limit value isexceeded, on site as well as remotely.
Automatic monitoring of thecooling chain saves time
Werner Schmidt, proprietor of butcher’s shop ‘MetzgereiHaller’
„With testo Saveris thetemperature monitoring of thefood practically runs itself. NowI have more time for thecustomers!“
Temperature monitoring inspecialist retailers and large-scale kitchens
The measurement data is saved centrally andcan thus be called up at any time. It goeswithout saying that the testo Saverisconforms to the food standard EN 12830.Using this uninterrupted documentation thattesto Saveris offers, you always play it safewhen it comes to monitoring of yourtemperatures.
Easiest operation oftesto Saveris
Sabine Steinbrunner, proprietor of foodproduct market ‘Culinara’
„I was very pleasantly surprisedat how easy the installation andoperation were.“

· Connect Saveris base to mains. The probes can now belogged on at the base: The probes are switched on in seriesand automatically identified by the base.
· The Saveris base is connected to the PC via USB or Ethernet. The software is installed on the PC with help from theinstallation wizard.
· The system is ready for configuration: Probe name, limitvalues, measuring cycles and alarms can be adapted to theindividual measuring tasks.
· The measurement data can always be shown as a graphic ortable.
· If alarms have been triggered, these can be listed separately.
· Various probes can be compiled into groups. Logical units–according to the measurement task –are thus formed.
· The measurement data view over days, weeks or months isfreely definable. The integrated calendar offers practicalassistance here.
· Form and time of the reporting are predefined once.
· The creation and saving of reports as a PDF file now takesplace automatically in accordance with the set conditions. Thefiles are therefore ready to be printed at any time.

testo Saveris™ Components: Router, converter and accessories
The radio link can be improved or lengthened with poor structural conditions by using a router. Naturally several routers are possible in the testo Saverissystem, but several routers are not connected in series.Through the connection of a converter to an Ethernet jack, the signal of a radio probe can be converted into an Ethernet signal. This combines theflexible connection of the radio probe with the use of the existing Ethernet even over long transmission paths.
