Deepika Padukone born on January 5th

1986 to badminton player Prakash Padukone and her

mother was a travel agent. She was born in Copenhagen, Denmark and her family moved to

Bangalore, India when she was eleven months old. Deepika Padukone has a younger sister

named Anisha. Deepika finished her schooling in Sophia High School in Bangalore and

completed her pre-university studies at Mount Carmel College Bangalore.

Deepika Teenage and Career

During her college days she pursued a career in Modeling. In 2005 she was found in a ramp

Awards. Then she was chosen as one of the models for the kingfisher Swimsuit calendar. And at

Idea Zee Fashion Awards she has won two awards Female Model of the Year and Fresh Face

Acting Career

She started her acting career in the year 2006 in the Kannada film Aishwarya pairing with

Upendra. Following that she made a successful Bollywood debut with Shah Rukh Khan in OmShanti Om. Her performance in the film was well received, in which she earned the Filmfare

Best Female Debut Award.

Later DP was seen in Siddharth Anand's romantic comedy Bachna Ae Haseeno opposite Ranbir

Kapoor and alongside Bipasha Basu and Minissha Lamba.

In 2009, Deepika started writing weekly columns for HT City, the lifestyle supplement ofHindustan Times.

In 2010, she had a total of five movie releases Karthik Calling Karthik, Housefull, LafangeyParindey, Break Ke Baad and Khelein Hum Jee Jaan Se.
