COOKING 101: WORLD TOUR (Week 1: July 6 – 10) Children will develop core cooking skills and learn how to develop flavour combinations through cooking simple, yet unique meals from around the world in 5-days! Campers get ready to join the SV/U of T incubator; create your passion project with our 5-day, comprehensive, accelerated VIRTUAL PROGRAMS: 1) Robotics, 2.) Game Development and 3.) 3D Design. Students will learn through virtual instruction and be guided to create and develop their own project prototype! Finally, they will learn the importance of pitching ideas so that they can influence the room like a CEO. *SV Robotics Kits not required for purchase – virtual simulators will be used during online instruction.

PROGRAM DELIVERABLES Students will learn introductory programming logic, basic algorithms, rudimentary electronics and 3D design!

TIMEFRAME: 3hrs per day – 15hrs per week Session 1: 6-8’s (9am – 12pm) Wks. 2, 4 & 6 Session 2: 9-12’s (1pm-4pm) Wks. 2, 4 & 6 *The program for 6-8’s versus 9-12’s will be structured appropriately for the age group.

BAKING BUDDIES: (Week . 3: July 20 – 24 and Week. 4 July 27 -31) Learn the science and basics of working with flour, sugar, eggs and chocolate, in addition to other ingredients to make delicious pastries, cookies, mousse and gelato with cooking instructor Kelsey Kilgore. Special guest chef will conduct molecular gastronomy demo (i.e. liquid nitrogen technique), which utilizes the principles of chemistry, physics and biology to enlighten children on how food can be creatively presented in new and interesting ways!

Join beloved magician BenTastic as you embark on a virtual magic journey to become an official magician. Each virtual session will begin with a mini magic show followed by an interactive, step by step magic workshop where you will learn some amazing magic tricks that will have anyone fooled. You will learn some card tricks, mind-reading skills, move things with your mind and much more, all you will need are a few household items and you will be set in becoming the next master magician. *Full engagement in the virtual program will involve a few simple household items.

Dance is a universal language expressed through artistic, fluid expression through intricate movements, which improves balance, eye-hand co-ordination, flexibility, rhythm, muscular endurance and cardiovascular conditioning. Join C-Flava as they guide you through energetic routines fueled by melodic rhythms of Soca, Reggae, Dancehall and Afro-beats. Session 1: 6-8’s (9am – 10am) Session 2: 9-12’s (10:15am-11:15am)

YOGA (Week 4: July 27-31)

5-DAY PROGRAM One Session: 6-12’s (11:30am – 12noon)

Join veteran instructor Ramona Seupersad as she guides children seamlessly through a 5-day program series of fun and flowing yoga poses. Children will be able to decompress, to breathe, and to connect with self, to connect with nature and peers, to in a nonjudgmental, positive, non-competitive virtual environment where they can JUST BE. Yoga does just this. Each class will be a progression while children learn breathing techniques to enhance their practice, reduce stress and anxiety, all the while flowing through movements of various animal poses like cat, cow and cobra; being centered as they balance themselves in variations of tree pose, and rise in an extended stretch to stand tall in mountain pose, and empowered in warrior poses. Each class session will end in a relaxation pose to reflect and regroup.

Required: Yoga mat, water, comfortbale non-restrictive clothing Additional “nice-to-have” items that enhance your yoga practice, provide support and comfort are yoga straps, blocks, bolsters, pillows etc. ADVENTURE CAMP (Week 4: July 27 – 31) This virtual camp program will enlighten, educate and stimulate campers’ interest in the habitat of plant and wildlife through a fun and insightful virtual exploration of they eco-system, plant, grass and woodlands and engage in scavenger hunt adventures, traditional indoor and outdoor camp game favourites and more!

The Adventure Camp is a 5-day program led by former Camp Director Philippe Leclerc and the Virtual Camp Leaders that combines pre-recorded video and live-streamed group sessions to engage all children. Pre-recorded video supplementation will be found on the camp’s YouTube channel prior to the start of the scheduled program.

VISUAL ARTS (Week 5: August 4-7)

Led by various multidisciplinary international artists that support the Doris McCarthy Gallery at the University of Toronto Scarborough. Using a playful approach to viewing and making art, campers will be introduced to a variety of media, through fun and engaging virtual art activities!

Heidi Cho is a Toronto-based multidisciplinary artist. She self-publishes comics and zines about being a queer Korean navigating family and mental health. Her work has appeared in C Magazine, Shameless, and Peak Magazine.

Morgan Sea is a Toronto-based cartoonist. Her practice often blends fantasy and queer theory to create trans feminist comics, zines, and new media endeavours. Sea studied video and performance art at Concordia University, and is currently a graduate student at OCAD University.

Photography and Painting with artists Jalani Morgan and Jabari Elliot (Zoom Sessions) *Artists will mail out a supply kit to the registered participants.

Jalani Morgan is an established Toronto based photographer, visual historian and current photo editor of West End Phoenix. Morgan is known for his editorial, documentary and gallery collected work both nationally and internationally. Elicser Elliott is a Toronto based aerosol artist whose creations adorn the cultural landscape here and abroad. As an integral part of downtown Toronto's street art community for over a decade, he has been recognized for his artistry and praised by both street and fine art collectors all over the world.

Children will learn about Indigenous culture through a virtual exploration of completing decorative traditional handicrafts (i.e. dreamcatchers, turtle arts, igloos) through the use of natural materials and contemporary supplements.

ARTS & CRAFTS (Week 6: August 10-14)

Led by the Virtual Camp Leaders, the Arts and Crafts program will be an inclusive, fun artistic experience for all campers, through a comprehensive virtual arts and crafts session creating a wide range of hand-made objects using a variety of child-friendly art materials. Session 1: 6-8’s (9am – 10am) Session 2: 9-12’s (10:15am-11:15am)

BONUS: FRIDAY SPECIAL EVENTS: TBA These 1-hour sessions will be free for all registered campers in the camp program. Email notifications will be sent each week, and those interested in attending with be provided the ZOOM meeting link the “day of” in the morning. The Friday Special Events will be conducted by the Virtual Camp Leaders from 1-2pm on Friday, July 10, July 24 and Aug 7.
