Cookies for Santa MATERIALS yard print #1 yard print #2 yard chalk cloth yard Warm & Natural batting 1 white chalk marker CUTTING From print #1, cut two 11" circles for the plate top and bottom. From print #2, cut 4 bias strips, " wide, for the binding. From the chalk cloth and the Warm & Natural batting each, cut one 11" circle. MAKING THE PLATE 1 Place the chalk cloth circle in the center of one of the print #1 circles, with right sides facing up. Blanket stitch around the edge of the chalk cloth to secure it to the fabric circle. 2 Layer the Warm & Natural batting between the top and bottom print #1 circles. Baste the edges. 3 Sew the print #2 bias strips together to make a strip approximately 40" long. Fold in half lengthwise and press. With raw edges aligned, pin the binding strip to the back of the plate layers and stitch. Turn bind- ing strip to the front. Turn edge under ¼" and topstitch. 4 With the chalk marker, write “Cookies for Santa” on the chalk cloth circle. Arrange cookies on the plate.
