2½ " wide, for the binding. From the chalk cloth and the
Warm & Natural batting each, cut one 11" circle.
MAKING THE PLATE1 Place the chalk cloth circle in the center of one of the print #1 circles,
with right sides facing up. Blanket stitch around the edge of the chalk cloth to secure it to the fabric circle.
2 Layer the Warm & Natural batting between the top and bottom print #1 circles. Baste the edges.
3 Sew the print #2 bias strips together to make a strip approximately 40" long. Fold in half lengthwise and press. With raw edges aligned, pin the binding strip to the back of the plate layers and stitch. Turn bind-ing strip to the front. Turn edge under ¼ " and topstitch.
4 With the chalk marker, write “Cookies for Santa” on the chalk cloth circle. Arrange cookies on the plate. Set out for Santa along with a Mason jar of milk and a straw.
