PULL CORD EMERGENCY SWITCHHX230

HX230 system operates when pulling the cord to any direction or if the cord bursts. Both operations stop the conveyor immediately.On pull cord emergency switch ES5 selected components have been used according to the latest safety regulations. Reliability of the components even in difficult circumstances has been secured by separate tests.The emergency switch package consists of the standard parts set and the cord set. Both sets are ordered separately. The language for the installation and maintenance instructions must be informed when placing the order, as well as the language for the sign and the stickers.

Cord must be placed so that it can be used around the machine in every place where the work can be done during the operation. If the service platforms are situated at both sides of the conveyor, the emergency switch must be installed separately at both sides.

The switch will be placed in an easily accessible place. The delivery includes fasteners for fixing the mounting plate, of the switch, onto the conveyor’s steel structure.

HX231 rotation detector stops the conveyor when speed falls under the set minimum speed. The detector recognizes the “sensor plates”. If the speed of the conveyor belt is falling down, also the rotation speed of the return idler is slowing down. Fall in speed is always caused by some disturbances in operating circumstances and the conveyor must be stopped to clear up the disturbances. In large conveyor systems, devices or conveyors, situating before belt conveyors also often stop.

Install rotation detector to the return idler support. Recommended place is second return idler from drive-end.

DO NOT INSTALL IT TO THE FIRST IDLER AFTER THE DRIVE PULLEY.

Surrounding area of return idler must be free for successful control of function and adjustment of rotation detector even during the running of conveyor.

Distance of outermost disc edge from roller end is 10 mm. Sensor of rotation detector and detector disc spacing is 4 mm.

BELT MISALIGNMENT SWITCHHX232

The purpose of belt misalignment switch HX232 is to give a warning or / and stop the belt conveyor when the belt has moved too much sideways, which can cause damage of the belt or nearby structures.This switch selection can be used with upper or return belt. The type of belt misalignment switch for normal applications is HX23220, where the arm of the switch turns perpendicularly sideways. In applications where the conveyed material can go over the upper belt’s edge, it is recommended to use an HX23221 type switch. In this type, the lever arm turns 45 degrees in relation to the belt.

Available with two different switch options.The single-contact pair switch is either to give a warning or stop the belt conveyor in the event that the belt moves too far to the side.The dual-contact pair switch is generally to send a warning to the control system and then stop the belt conveyor by turning the lever further.

The level switch HX234 is used for the upper limit controlling of powders, grain and crushed material, as well as for jam alarmson conveyors and discharge chutes. The sturdy material metal box contains a ball operated microswitch. The switch is opened when the sensor rod reaches an indication of 17 degrees-informing of a blockage or a level limit.

The level limit package includes the switch, the plastic coated cord and the steel pipe with a wing plate. The wing plates enchance the swing movement especially with fine materials.

The sensor rod can be shortened to the right length at assembly.

BLOCKAGE DETECTORHX235

HX235 is a membrane switch type of blockage detector. It is designed for the control of bulk material surface level in belt conveyor chutes and silos. The purpose of the blockage detector is to stop the feeding device and to prevent a bigger jam and the damages caused by that.

In case of blockage, bulk material presses against the membrane and the spring loaded metal plate turns away from the sensing range of the inductive sensor.

The thicker textile reinforcement rubber membrane is meant for materials which have bigger bulk density and particle size. The thinner elastic membrane is meant for low densities and fine particle sizes.

HX250-CX cover deck is suited for the outdoor conveyors, to protect the conveyed material and also conveyor itself from the dust and wet.This self-supporting structure without separate brackets is quick and easy to install. Deck can be opened on both sides of the conveyor.Hot galvanized plate as standard. Painted or aluminium plate also available.

HX250-RX lower protective cover prevents the “airplane wing” effect from occuring, i.e. the rising and uncontrollable mevement of the belt caused by the wind. The lower cover should be mounted to the leg or brackets of the conveyor with self screwing screws.

Cover decks can be propped up during maintenance and inspections. Three prop rods are included in delivery. The support is locked to the mounting angle with a knurled-head screw.
