Sani-Ply (SP) Family Our Sani-Ply series of belts is by far our best selling, and most widely used series of belts. Made in the U.S.A., using tried and true multi-ply, spun polyester fabrics, you can be assured that we have a belt for your application, at a reasonable price. MONO-PURE NON-FRAY BELTING

Don’t be a-FRAY-ed of edge contamination!

Belt fray, stringing, and the resulting risk of edge contamination has long been a major concern in the food industry—a concern which we at Green Rubber-Kennedy Ag take very seriously.

The Mono-Pure Non-Fray product line is a unique series of belts utilizing an innova-tive fabric structure that reduces fray. This radical solution has been thoroughly tested, and the results are overwhelm-ingly positive! By utilizing our Non-Fray fabric and then coating it with our food-friendly Mono-Pure urethane covers, we have created a belt with excellent track-ing qualities and the ability to handle troughed applications. Unlike traditional solid thermoplastic belting, our non-fray has good stretch resistance, with no edge distortion.

KEY FEATURES: 1. Non-Fray belts are resistant to edge fray and stringing, extending the sanitary lifespan of belts 2. Excellent tracking qualities 3. Low stretch 4. Clean transfer of product, with the ability to roll over 1/4” diameter nose bars. 5. FDA and USDA approved 6. No need for sealed or capped edges as a preventative for stringing, resulting in substantially lowered costs.

MONO-PURE ANTI-MICROBIAL BELTING

A line of DEFENSE against contamination

Green Rubber-Kennedy Ag’s Mono-Pure series of belts, with AM-Plus, Anti-Microbial protection prevent growth of spoilage micro-organisms.

This product does not protect users or others against food borne or disease causing bacteria. Proper cleaning and sanitizing is always essential.

The AM-Plus additive is effective throughout the belt cover life. Since the additive is dispersed throughout the poly-mer compound, including the inter-ply, repeated cleaning cycles, scuffs, and cuts in the belt surface fail to degrade the effectiveness of the additive. The anti-microbial in our Mono-Pure series of belts is ap-proved by the EPA for continuous food contact. Mono-Pure belting is manufactured to and in compliance with all U.S. regulations (FDA and USDA conforming).

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS ABOUT MONO-PURE AM-PLUS BELTS: Q: Do the FDA and USDA approve the Mono-Pure AM-Plus belts for use in the United States? A: Yes, our belts are fully approved by the FDA and USDA. Q: Is there any benefit in using Mono-Pure AM-Plus belts in my plant if the food is not in direct contact with the belt? A: Yes, even if the food is not in direct contact with the belt, the conveyor system is an ideal route for the cross-contaimination of spoilage microorganisms throughout the plant. By protecting the belts in this way, the risks can be reduced within the plant, but proper cleaning procedures must always be adhered to. Q: How long has Mono-Pure AM-Plus been available? A: Since the late 1990’s. Our product was originally developed for use in the U.K., and has been marketed throughout Europe and U.S. ever since. Q: Will AM-Plus belt also inhibit molds? A: Yes. Q: How long will the anti-microbial effect of AM-Plus last? A: It will last the lifetime of the belt. Q: What happens if a belt suffers from abrasion or small cuts in the cover? A: The Mono-Pure AM-Plus belts will continue to show reduced microbiological activity compared with standard belt types under the same operating conditions. Q: Is there any effect on taste, color, smell, or texture of food in contact with AM-Plus belts? A: An evaluation by an independent test laboratory has confirmed that there is no influence on the taste of food, even with sensitive products, such as chocolate, compared with standard conveyor belts. Similarly, there is no change in color or texture.

Feed Belts for Dicing & Slicing Equipment We supply belts for all types of high speed dicing and slicing equipment, including Urschell equipment. We can fabricate belts to your requirements, at any width or length, from materials ranging from FDA/USDA PVC to more durable and sanitary urethanes.

Page 18

Vulcanized Endless Splices Hot vulcanized splices are stronger and far more sanitary than standard mechanical (laced) joints. This method is ideal for food plants where metal fasteners can damage products, or in sensitive metal detector applications. Our state-of-the-art vulcanizing equipment ensures that our splices perform.

Looped Cover Belts We can add loops to the cover of belts, to provide a softer conveying surface for delicate products which can bruise easily. We can vary the heights, widths, center distances, and materials at your request. Loops are high-frequency welded to base belts which ensures a clean, sanitary, and permanent bond.

Mesh Belting for De-Watering and Filtration Mesh belts can be fabricated in many configurations. We can add cleats, v-guides, and endless splices. These belts work exceptionally well in applications requiring products to be washed or drenched before being discharged from the belt.

Page 19 Sidewalls for Maximum Product Capacity We can attach corrugated sidewalls, from 1” to 4” tall, to increase the conveying capacity of belts, and to eliminate unnecessary spillage of product. Assembly unit orients and assembles the corrugated sidewall to the base belting making the sidewall an extension of the belting cover. This provides for a

containment wall with excellent flexibility having the same characteristics as the

Perforations With our specialty punching equipment, we can perforate nearly any pattern of holes in your belt, for de-watering and drainage, or vacuum applications.

Cleats and Flights When required by special application needs, Grip Thermo-Weld Cleats® are available in four bondable cleat styles: T Cleats, V-Guides, and Scoop Cleats. T Cleats are an efficient profile used to move material up inclines. The top of the cleat has a full radius, which gently transports the material to avoid bruising and marking of the product. The bottom edges taper, allowing for a smooth transition between belt and cleat. Also available in a heavy-duty configuration. These cleats offer greater carrying capacity for heavier objects.

V-guides, Lugs, and Tracking Guides When belt tracking is especially critical, Grip Thermo-Weld Guides® guides are available and can be attached to belts using our Thermo-Weld technology. Tracking guides keep your belts running straight and help avoid unnecessary belt contamination and damage to belts, resulting from edge wear.

Thermo-Weld® Technology Our exclusive Thermo-Weld technology ensures that the flights and lugs we attach to the surface of a belt will be permanently bonded. Instead of using adhesives, which can break down over time, our flights are welded with high heat for a truly vulcanized, homogeneous bond. Thermo-Welded cleats are designed to stay bonded for the working life of the belt. Cleats can be inset from belt edges, or notched for specific requirements. Call us today to discuss your unique application.

The Alligator® Ready Set™ Staple, featuring one-piece fastener strips with pre-inserted staples, reduces installation time by eliminating the need to handle and load individual staples. The result is a strong splice that resists impact dam-age, as well as a smooth, unrippled joint that simplifies hinge pin insertion.

Ready Set™ Staple Selection Guide

Unibar® Rectangular High Tensile Fasteners. Clipper hooks are welded to a common bar and feature our patented Safety Strip which covers hook point to protect user’s fingers. The welded bar holds hook legs parallel to ease the "meshing" of belt ends and simplify hinge pin insertion. Plus, the welded bar cre-ates a flat, finished splice so belt "wave" is eliminated. Easier installation and a superior splice make Unibar Fasteners the preferred choice over Carded Hooks for most applications, Carded Hooks are recommended for special applications such as bias splices, troughed belts where common bar breakage is a concern, and where special metals are not available in Unibar con-figurations.

Alligator® Belt Lacing Fastener System for easy, economical installation and an exceptionally smooth joint, choose Alligator® Belt Lacing Fastener System. Steel or stainless lacing is available in continuous lengths to fit any belt width. The ham-mer-applied splice requires no special installation tools and is ideal for low-volume users with belts up to 1/2" (13mm) thick.

Mechanical Fasteners for Easy Installation of Belts Mechanical Fasteners (lacing) can be installed on any belt, providing the easiest and fastest method of connecting belt ends together, eliminating crucial down-time. Lacing is available in traditional stainless steel, as well as specialty plastic for metal detector applications.

Alligator® Spiral Lace is ideal for belt operations that require both nonmetallic fasteners and small pulley / low profile capabilities. Alligator Spiral Lace is excellent for applications such as package or luggage handling; x-ray equipment or metal detectors; and food or pharmaceutical processing and packaging. Spiral Lace should be installed by a qualified belt shop with experience in end-less splices then stocked as ready-to-use replacement belt. Easy installation reduces downtime, simply remove the hinge pin, replace the belt, and reinsert the hinge pin. The removable hinge pin design also allows for special cleaning requirements.

Size: ASL60, ASL160, ASL90, ASL190, ASL80H Recommended Maximum Operation Tension: Up to 50 P.I.W. (8.7 kN/m) Belt Thickness Range: 1/32" up to 1/4" (0.8mm up to 6.4mm) Recommended Minimum Pulley Diameter: 1/2" to 5/8" (12.7mm to 15.3mm)

Alligator® Plastic Rivet Fastener System for applications where metal belt fasteners can’t be used, the Alliga-tor® Plastic Rivet Fastener System is a long-lasting, easy-to-install solution for light-duty applications. Our sturdy non-metallic fastener is also a low-cost alternative to the time and expense associated with vulcanization. Fastener plate leading edges are beveled to ensure a smooth, low-profile splice. The one-piece fastener features an integrated design with rivets molded right into the fastener top plate - fast belt replace-ment means reduced downtime and increased pro-ductivity. Plus, the smooth surface is easy to clean.

Choose the material that matches your application. UV-resistant black delivers ex-tended life in outdoor applications. FDA-accepted white and blue plastic is suitable for food and pharmaceutical processing applications, and resists weak acids, alkali, hydrocarbons, ester solvents, and alcohols. Both materials can be used in applica-tions from -20°F to 180°F (-29°C to 82°C).

The DuraStick® Industrial Tapes utilize DuraFab® Industrial Fabrics but have the added benefit of an adhesive on one side. These tapes are manufactured from woven fiberglass substrates, possess an optimal PTFE (Fluon®) content, leave a minimal fabric impression, and have a proprie-tary silicone or acrylic adhesive system. Because of the glass reinforce-ment, this series of tape is resistant to "cold-flow", a characteristic inher-ent in pure unsupported PTFE films, these tapes are an excellent choice when cut-through, load carrying, or harsh industrial environments require the unique surface characteristics of PTFE. As our most popular and ver-satile tape series, DuraStick® Industrial Tapes provide the highest value to customers by offering an excellent balance of heat transfer, release, and flexibility.
