Analysis- Blow Dryer Palm

• Our data showed us that the warmer your hand was, the faster the fish curled up. In the first trial, when the palm was heated by the hair dryer at a low setting the fish curled up in the first trial in 3.1 seconds. In the second trial, the fortune fish curled up in 2.7 seconds. Finally, in the last trial, the fish curled up in 1.9 seconds. This is the shortest amount of time out of time it took for our fortune fish to curl up.

Analysis- Normal Palm

• Our data showed us that when you placed the fortune fish on the palm without doing anything to the palm that it took an average amount of time to curl up. In our first trial, it took 8.2 seconds for the fortune fish to curl up. In the second trial, it took 7.1 seconds for the fortune fish to curl up. On the last trial it took 8.1 seconds for the fish to curl up. This shows us that when you leave the palm alone the fortune fish curls up quickly but not as fast as it would heated up.

Analysis- Ice Palm

Our data also showed us that the colder your palm was the slower the fortune fish would curl up. In the first trial, we put our hand in a bag of ice for one minute. Once we did this we saw that it took the fortune fish 13.7 seconds to curl up. In the second trial, it took the fish 15.9 seconds to curl up. Lastly, in the third trial it took the fortune fish 15.5 seconds to curl up. This is the longest amount of time it took the fish to curl up.
