� Safety shall be improved through redesigning the airspace and

harmonizing the ATS procedures;

� The technical systems of the two ANSPs will be harmonised and� The technical systems of the two ANSPs will be harmonised and

shall be compliant with SES regulations in terms of technical

performance and interoperability;

� AIS and MET services for the FAB airspace shall be harmonised

and the providers of these services shall agree on the

distribution of tasks and products between them;

� The DANUBE FAB will be attractive and open for adjacent states

to join.

26 February 2010 – The Ministers of Transport from Bulgaria and

Romania signed the MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING for the

establishment of a functional airspace block, comprising the airspace of

Romania and the airspace of the Republic of Bulgaria.

10 August 2010 – The Directors General of BULATSA and ROMATSA,

signed the MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING for the establishment

of the DANUBE FAB.of the DANUBE FAB.

19 October 2010 – The Directors General of the Romanian Civil

Aviation Authority, Directorate General of Infrastructure and Air

Transport within the Ministry of Transport of Romania and the Director

General of the Directorate General of Civil Aviation Administration of

the Republic of Bulgaria signed the MEMORANDUM OF

UNDERSTANDING on cooperation in air traffic management & air

navigation services matters within – DANUBE FAB.
