?The Social Play and Innovation Network or SPIN is a social enterprise

The think tank and platform currently consists of members from the United States, Malaysia, Hong Kong and the Philippines from various fields. Some of those fields include: Chemical Engineering, Creatives, Design, Branding, Marketing, Social Media, Information Technology, Social Inclusion, Philosophy, Social Theory, Education, Research, Planning, Landscape Architecture, Law, Art, Fashion, Business, Corporate Social Responsibility, Sustainability, Disaster Risk Management, Real Estate, Tourism, Retail, Training, Coaching, Leadership, Development. We are constantly expanding. We thread minds together.

We give a new axis for the world to turn on. Together, we spin the world.

Through the work we have done with our partners, the world has signifcantly shifted towards global cooperation, sustainability and creative culture.

Globally, we have contributed to the alleviation of poverty, the development of social enterprises, revolutionizing educational systems and the creation of green sustainable communities.

Problems of the past, are history. We are creating new futures for the world.

To provide playful, practical and profitable partnerships and projects for the world.

We have expanded our projects to each continent. Our sustainable community centers are complete and we are

looking at expansion of our communities. Our partners and volunteers (thousands of people around the

world) are making a difference and creating they're own projects. We have created thousands of jobs (worldwide) through the

How do I ?The answer to that question is completely up to you.

You can contribute, connect or collaborate in whichever way is most convenient and most exciting for you.

We have three priority areas of development:

Sustainability, Environment and Ecology (SEE)Peace, Arts, Culture and Education (PEACE)Poverty Alleviation and Social Enterprise Development (PASED)

Each of our existing spin | projects function in the world of “Viral Transformation” - highly contagious and inspirational work that serve as catalysts for action and participation. The projects will be discussed concisely in terms of its description and the partners involved.

The last portion will enumerate possible areas for collaboration or how you can make a difference..

We are also looking for interim officers to help build the big picture of the company and share in the profits. Particularly, in the areas of operations, finances and volunteer management.

If you have existing projects or wish to start up your own, we are also very open to partnering and expanding our network of spin | professionals.

If you wish to partner for any project (whether it is a spin project or something of your own), or if you have any further questions, feel free to reach D-cal at [email protected]

PEACE

Statistics have shown that the average age of the Filipino Farmer is 57.

This suggests a definitive problem we need to address in terms of our food supply and food chain.

Together with our partners, we are creating a campaign to support and redefine rural and urban farming. Also, we are creating avenues to support agriculture-based companies.

“It all adds up”

Spin | my street is a 45 day global viral awareness campaign.

People can participate by following these steps:

1) Find a box - any cardboard box. If you don't have one laying around the house, your local supermarket should have one. Or, maybe today could be a great excuse to talk to that cute neighbor.

2) Go to “your street” - interpret this how you want. It can be the street where you live, your grandmother's street, the street where you hang out, the street where you work, the street where you wish you worked. It's up to you.

3) Start cleaning – YOU HAVE 15 MINUTES. Pick up ALL of the loose trash and improperly disposed of waste. Put it in your box. Stop at 15 minutes. Like my teacher in grade 4 told me, “Finished or not finished”.

4) Get your phone or videocam – and get ready. With your box and trash in plain sight, say “This is my street” (PAUSE – don't say it – just do it) “This is our world”. Feel free to be creative on where and how you do this video.

5) Post it on YOUTUBE – unlisted or public, you choose. Then send the link to [email protected] with your Name, Profession, City and Country.

In partnership with:

The Marikina Watershed is the largest watershed in the Philippines and could significantly reduce flooding in Metro Manila. The problem is that it does not function as a watershed.

SPIN, together with different partners in private, public and government sectors, is working to reforest the area and to develop infrastructure and a sustainable green school for the community.

community preparedness and resource (CPR) center

SEE

In partnership with:

Barangay Tumana of Marikina is the second largest and most flood prone barangay in the area, if not all of Metro Manila.

The CPR center is a joint project of SPIN and the local government to create a resilient and sustainable community center.

Breathing life back in the community and bringing back the Filipino identity (Nipa Hut), we will work with local partners to create alternative livelihood, organic farming, vertical farming, aquaponics and social enterprise.

Currently, we are developing a prototype center to be later “scaled” up into a multipurpose building that can serve also as an evacuation center for disaster relief.

Where can I make a difference?

*Mentor*Sponsor a scholarship/grant*Partner

The degree is an interdisciplinary and individualized study program with a specialization in Global Leadership, Social Transformation and Innovation. Developed from the 3D Model of Education and inspired by programs of Harvard, Notre Dame, Fordham University, George Mason University, University of Asia and Pacific, Ateneo and University of the Philippines.

It is a student-driven and mentor-guided program focused on developing the student towards their individual inclinations and goals. The culmination of which would be expressed in a final project. The coursework chosen would be in line with that project and individualized program through strategically chosen electives by the student with the guidance of the mentor.

It is also designed to have several seminars, workshops and mentoring opportunities that would support the development of the student.

SPIN, together with the Polytechnic University of the Philippines – San Juan, is currently in conversation to create an office for innovation and sustainability to help local government and community initiatives.

This office would also support PUP students with internships and training in developing projects and innovations in social innovation and sustainability.
