• Assures Alamo Residents of a voice in the County process that governs our Community, which includes our County Supervisor, as Alamo is an unincorporated area of Contra Costa County

• Has long-standing expertise and interaction with County on Planning, Transportation, Code Compliance and Public Safety issues

• Publish a monthly column on public issues of importance to residents

• Alamo has several residents with Engineering Degrees, Professional Experience within the Pipeline Industry and related fields that are willing to volunteer their time and expertise

• Iron Horse Trail bi-sects our community on its path from Martinez, CA to Municipal Airport in San Jose

• The Pipeline within the Iron Horse Trail easement had an explosion caused by a third party contractor in 2004, which was ½ mile from Alamo

• The PG&E Natural Gas Pipeline in San Bruno had an explosion in 2010 which was within 38 miles of Alamo

Pipeline Suspended Over Seasonal Creek

• This pipeline location is one of two in Alamo. This one is located next to the edge of Rancho Romero Elementary School play-ground (off of Hemme Ave.) and the second is at the southern edge of Alamo (off of Wayne Ave.)

Manual Valve

• This manual valve is located on the northern edge of Alamo, the next manual valve on the pipeline is located 8 miles south on the southern edge of the neighboring town of Danville. It previously was uncaged and now is caged.
