CPR is an emergency procedure used to revive an adult, child or infant who has stopped breathing and/or whoseheart isn’t beating. Such incidences can occur followingdrowning, heart attacks or strokes, severe allergic reactionsand electrocutions, or may be due to Sudden CardiacArrest (SCA).

SCA is caused by problems with the heart's electrical sys-tem causing irregular heartbeats resulting in the heartstopping. If SCA is the emergency, once CPR has beenperformed and the heart is beating again, the use of anAutomated External Defibrillator (AED) can restore a nor-mal beat to a heart. These portable AED devices are oftenfound in public places, such as shopping malls, golf cours-es, businesses, airports, airplanes, casinos, convention cen-ters, hotels, sports venues and schools.

This OSHA approved Red Cross course gives you, wherev-er you are, the knowledge and skills necessary to recognizeand care for such injuries and sudden illnesses. Instructionincludes Adult, Child and Infant CPR and AED training.Upon successful completion, you will receive a 2-year certi-fication from the American Red Cross. You must be at least15 years old to take the course.
