Context: Skateboards and associated equipment and technologies.
GCSE - ENGINEERINGPreliminary Material
Exploring the exam theme task . . .
Your task is to explore all possibilities in relation to the given exam theme.
1. Use the mind map as a starting point to then further gather information and research in relation to the theme (internet, existing products, etc...)
2. Use the given slide templates to input the information you have found out in an interesting way for you to successfully remember.
3. Begin sketching some possible product ideas /solutions and add them to your holiday design task sheets.
Date due: Tuesday 16th April 2012
You will be presenting this information back to the whole class within the first lesson back after the Easter holidays.

Structure and form . . .
Think 5Summarise with ‘5’ things to remember
Look at a skateboard and think about the basic elements – the board/deck, wheels and trucks,
Materials, components and properties . . .
Think 5Summarise with ‘5’ things to remember
