The wri t ten examinat ion of candidates for L a n d Surveyors' Licences w i l l be held at the Department of Surveys on the 25th and 26th M a r c h 1946.

The pract ical tests of those notified as having passed the wri t ten part w i l l t a k e place on the 8th, 9th, 10th and 11th A p r i l , 1946.

Appl ica t ions to sit for the examinat ion should be made i n w r i t i n g and should reach the Director of Surveys, P . O . B . 676, Jaffa, not later than the 20th March , 1946. Those received after that date w i l l not be considered.

App l i ca t ions should be accompanied by the prescribed fee of £ P . 3 . — .

Candidates should state i n which of the three official languages they desire their writ ten pa­pers to be set. They must provide their own in ­struments and labour for pract ica l tests.

A syllabus of subjects covered by the exami­nat ion can be obtained on appl ica t ion.

N o person shall be eligible for a licence un­less he is a Pa les t in ian citizen or has received permission to remain permanently in Pales­tine.

Government officers may apply, through De­partmental Heads, to sit for this examinat ion, but w i l l not be issued wi th licences.
