Welcome to “the pandemic rules all manner of news” issue of Astrology News! There are essentially very few major headlines or happenings beyond the

elections in the United States and the global COVID-19 pandemic. But, the year 2020 brought social networking and astrology together in one of the most significant shifts so far, with the necessity of a new experience: the virtual as-trology conference. While some conference organizers opted to postpone or cancel, others accepted the challenge and opted to create virtual events. I connected with several attendees, presenters, and organizers, and it was wonderful to learn that, for the most part, these events proved to be successful. They provided dynamic gateways for astrologers, and those with a meta-physical interest, to come together, share ideas, learn, and support one another. Even local astrology groups and or-ganizations have found that virtual meetings can fill the void quite effectively while offering an excellent opportunity to maintain and strengthen their associations. We shall see what the future holds!

Daily Mail features Jessica Adams’s Amazing Forecasts An article by Jane Fryer, published October 18, 2020 in the Daily Mail, describes the exceptional and accurate pro-jections of world events by astrologer Jessica Adams. The article, “Astrologer who predicted COVID-19 reveals what the next six months hold,” reviews Adams’s actions in both her professional and her personal life as related to the as-trological indicators and her own intuitive insights. “I knew what was coming,” Adams said. “I followed my own advice.” A year earlier, she predicted the pandemic before it man-ifested, when she flagged a key date — January 10, 2020 — which ultimately was the day of the first confirmed death from the virus in Wuhan, China. Later, she also pinpointed several events, such as the significance of October 1, 2020, when President Donald Trump was diagnosed with COVID-19. The article also in-cludes Adams’s forecasts regarding Brexit, Boris Johnson, the Royal Family, the US elections, and much more. On a

happier note, Adams also commented that the holiday sea-son 2020 will be filled with great celebration and positive change. It’s a delightful read, and perhaps you can still find the article archived in the Daily Mail online.1

Talk About Mercury Retrograde Filters into Everyday Life Of course, the astrological and metaphysical publications, blogs, vlogs, and podcasts feature information about Mercury retrograde cycles, but now Mercury’s antics are discussed al-most everywhere. Google “Mercury retrograde,” and a long list of links appear, from Travel + Leisure, to Cosmopolitan, Allure, Hello Magazine, WellandGood.com, the Astrology Zone, and more. If anyone wonders about this recurring cycle, answers and insights abound. For example, the Old Farmer’s Almanac (October 13, 2020) offered an excellent article by Catherine Boeckmann featuring dates of upcoming retrogrades of Mercury from the October–November 2020 occurrence to the list of three repeats in 2021. She encourages the readers to concentrate on taking positive actions like reflection, and self-analysis to bring more balance back into life during these periods, while also emphasizing the actions and circumstances best to avoid while the Trickster is empowered.
