The environment where we carry out our activities a�ects what we do and how we feel. If a place is attractive, comfortable, well organized and interesting, we are likely to spend time there. With this in mind, we set up our new campus for the Pre-Primary and Kindergarten Section in Clifton.A well organized learning environment and the High Scope approach at our campus encourages children to develop initiative within a supportive social context. Throughout the day, children pursue their own interests, generate ways to answer their own questions and share ideas with others. Supported by teachers who are genuinely interested in what they say and do, young children are able to construct their own understanding of the world around them and gain a sense of control and personal satisfaction. Here children develop trust, initiative, curiosity, resourcefulness, independence, and responsibility – habits of mind that will serve them well throughout their lives.

Being the Vice Principal for the Primary and Junior Section at Bay View Academy Clifton Campus has indeed been a very interesting and challenging yet extremely satisfying and enjoyable experience. There were many new teachers on board this year and guiding them through the maze of academics, activities and events taught me to expect nothing short of excellence because, with the right framework, our dedicated teachers have always risen to the challenge splendidly.

In the Primary Section, students designed their own invites and explored their oratory skills as they prepared for the Elocution with the help of their teachers. Primary Sports Day was an exciting event as our students demonstrated their athleticism, discipline and team spirit.

Our Junior School students explored innovative ways to express their ideas and research during the Science Fair and their presentations were fantastic. And they proved that they could face any challenge successfully by doing so well in their First

The day I showed extreme courage was during the time I lived near the railway station. Every day I would go and see the trains passing underneath the bridge. It was a green hilly area with trees

One day I was carrying my mug of tea and my biscuits to a place where a lot of roses grew. From one side you could see the railway station and from the other side you could see other hills and woods which looked stunning and whoever saw it, would be amazed to see such a beautiful view. I was

Even though I tripped and fell a lot of times but I kept moving because the only thought in my mind was to save the trains from having a bad accident. At last I reached the signal box. I conveyed my concern to the man and told him to change the signal to red. The signal man was just in time, for the train was just about to crash into the three compartments. I breathed a sigh of relief after saving so many lives. I rushed home since I was shy to meet so many people.The next day my father showed me the newspaper and informed me about the incident being highlighted in the headlines. The bell rang and all the people who had been in the train got something for me to show appreciation. My father told me I had been very brave.

I hurriedly got into my uniform and tolf my father to take me to school quickly, as I was very late. By the time I reached it was 8:15am already, and the guard was about to close the gate. As soon as I entered the building, the principal confronted me and punished me severely for coming late. When I came into my classroom, I saw that I had forgotten my pencil box at home as I had been in such a hurry. I asked my teacher for a pencil and she gave one to me, though it was very short.As break time approached I realized that I had left my lunchbox at home so I couldn’t eat anything. So far my luck was horrible and it got even worse as the day progressed. When school ended, my car came half an hour late and on top of that one of the tires ran out of air so we had to replace it. At home, I had lunch and for once on that day, I thought I could have some peace but unfortunately, I was wrong. When I tried to turn on the TV, the power went o� and I got so angry because the generator would not

but he was so tired he went straight to bed. We had dinner at home and then. I had to go straight to bed. This was truly the worst day of my life.

This year, many of our students took part in national swimming competitions, both as part of the Bay View team and as individuals. We are proud of their many achievements, especially in swimming:

Fatima Lotia secured 9 gold medals, 5 silver medals and 3 bronze medals in individual events and 3 gold medals and 2 silver medals in relays in various national competitions this year. She was the U-10 Group Champion in the Women’s National Swimming Competition in Islamabad.

Emaan Zubair secured 1 silver medal and 2 bronze medals in individual events and 2 gold medals and 4 silver medals in relay competitions.

Sasha Azfar Mir secured 1 silver medal in relay competition.
