Falk College of Sport and Human Dynamics MFT 788 Systemic Family Therapy with Military Families (3) Systemic family therapy with veterans and military families. Emphasis on evidence-based and trauma-informed clinical practice. Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs MPH 660 Public Health Program Planning and Evaluation (3) Explores the planning and evaluation of public health interventions. Includes organized design of a targeted intervention to meet a discrete health-related problem, also examines the utilization, delivery, and quality of that intervention. MPH 649 Public Health and Biopsychosocial Primary Care (3) Students will be exposed to instruction on social determinants of health, cultural competency, motivational interviewing, and other topics. Course also includes shadowing experiences in clinical sites serving disadvantaged populations. MPH 664 Bioethics (3) Use of ethical theory in thinking about case problems in health care. Moral dilemmas: use of reproductive technologies, abortion, surrogate motherhood, research with humans, refusal and withdrawal of treatment, physician assisted suicide. MPH 697 Independent Study in Public Health (1-3) In-depth exploration of a problem or problems. Individual independent study upon a plan submitted by the student. Admission by consent of supervising instructor or instructors and the department. Repeatable. PSC 804 Advanced Topics in Qualitative Methods (3) Advanced survey of selected qualitative research methods, for students who have completed PSC 694. Specific topics covered will vary by semester. College of Visual and Performing Arts ARI 331 Eye Hand Body Mind through Drawing (3) Integrate traditional and contemporary approaches, materials, and processes in drawing with mindfulness-based contemplative practices. Structured and open problems will challenge and enrich students’ ability to perceive, create, and think with whole body-mind awareness.
