Page after page of qualityQuality and customer orientation are Ganter’s top priority in the development
of standard parts. The same principle applies to the Ganter catalogue:
You can find the desired product in just three steps.
Main overview of product groups
On the initial pages of the catalogue,
you will find an overview of all 17
product groups, divided into the main
groups of “Operating parts”,
“Clamping parts” and “Machine parts”.
This helps with the initial orientation.

GN 300-63-M8-25-SW
Adjustable hand levers GN 300 are ideal whenever parts have to be clamped in a confined space or in a particular lever position. The cen-tre insert is connected to the lever via serrations which can easily be disengaged.
Pulling the lever, disengages the serrations and allowing it to be swivelled to the ideal clamping position. On releasing the lever the serrations automatically re-engage.

Ganter products generally have informative article codes.
These are composed of the standard number, size and material-specific product
properties and identification numbers for specific design types. For a better
understanding, there is at least one example on every Ganter standard sheet.

Standard Parts –
for over 100 years
Established in 1894 as a mechanical
workshop, Ganter released the first
catalog for standard parts as early as
1912 – five years before the foundati-
on of the Deutsche Industrie Norm
(DIN). The idea of standardizing indus-
trial products, manufacturing them in
economical lot sizes, storing and sel-
ling them individually was entirely new
at that time. Right to this day, this
principle has been the foundation of
our actions which, thanks to broad
availability and the latest in production
engineering, guarantee ultimate bene-
fits for the customer.
Leading worldwide.
Ganter is at the leading edge in the
development, production and marke-
ting of standard parts for the entire
industry. Quality and volume of pro-
duction selection set the standards
across all industries. Ganter’s stan-
dard parts are offered worldwide
through an efficient sales network.
Quality, advice and availability are
thus guaranteed – wherever you are
located.
Service inclusive
Ganter’s unique range of standard
parts has the appropriate product for
virtually every possible application –
or if not, help is at hand for custo-
mized solutions. One thing is certain,
though: Standard parts from Ganter
come from a single source and offer
the best possible support to the
design and procurement process.
Quick and direct.
Thanks to an efficient logi-
stics approach, Ganter is
capable of delivering stan-
dard parts in the shortest
possible time - anywhere in
the world.

Strong partners
The Ganter product range has always strictly followed the needs of
the market. This philosophy includes expanding the selection with
products of strategic and sometimes exclusive partners. For example,
Elesa standards – standard parts of plastic with unique design and
quality – have been a fixed part of the Ganter selection for 40 years.
Today, standard parts from Ganter and Elesa are offered on markets
around the world under the shared brand Elesa+Ganter. Other
renowned manufacturers complete the range of products.

The Hygienic Design product familyStandard parts of the Hygienic Design product family are labeled
with the HD icon. They combine high surface quality, freedom from
dead spaces, non-scooped outer surfaces, and sealed bolting are-
as. A sealing concept based on FEM calculations ensures reliable
contact pressure after installation.
Hygienic Design also means that the time and material needed for
regular cleaning is significantly reduced—which also noticeably
lowers operating costs. See details → Page 18.
The Stainless Steel product familyStandard parts made of rust-proof Stainless Steel grades – designed for use in the food industry, the chemical industry or in general for use in aggressive atmospheres or outdoors. Normally made without galvanic surface treatment, standard parts in the Stainless Steel product family are not only corrosion-resistant, but also precisely fitting and environmentally friendly. For details on the various Stainless Steels of Ganter’s unique range of products → Page 1489.
The Standard Parts for profile systemsGanter‘s product range includes many standard parts for the
construction of profile systems. These include, for example,
cabinet „U“ handles, hinges, tube clamp connectors, mounting
clamps, indexing plungers and T-nuts for profile systems.
Angle pieces GN 960 and GN 961, especially developed by Ganter,
fill out this product offering. See details → Page 20.
Along with the huge offering of standard parts for a wide range of different
applications and uses, Ganter also supplies products with highly specific
properties and characteristics. These are grouped in product families and
marked with appropriate icons, allowing standard parts to be selected
specifically in terms of particular requirements.
Standard Parts for special requirements
Ganter – the product families
Page 17|Ganter – the product families
The Softline product familyStandard parts fitted with durable elastomer jackets. Their soft,
slip-proof surfaces enhance the force transfer between the
operator’s hand and the operating element – an unbeatable
advantage in moist, oily, greasy, hot or cold environments.
Standard parts in the Softline product family also meet ultimate
ergonomic demands in every respect.
The Erostyle® product familyPerfection in ergonomics and design: The Ergostyle® product family meets the aesthetic demands and need for easy operation required in modern working environments. Functional design supports the visual differentiation of the products and highlights their high quality. Ergostyle® standard parts have been awarded a number of design prizes. They are recognized by the signature: five small dots.
The Cleanline product familyCleanline standard parts were developed for areas where every
component needs to have a clean appearance. That’s why they
come in white as standard. They are typically used for medical,
laboratory or healthcare applications. For plastic Cleanline
standard parts, metal parts like threaded inserts and spindles are
made of Stainless Steel.
Inch sizes availableOur extensive range of products also includes many product series
which are not only available in metric sizes but also inch sizes,
indicated by this symbol. Please contact us with respect to
availability and delivery times.
Ganter – the product families
The ESD product familyPlastic standard parts that are electrically conductive, due to
special materials that counteract static charges. Designed for use
in assembly areas where components sensitive to static electric
charges are handled. The letters ESD on each element indicate
these special antistatic properties under ICE 61340-5-1.
The ATEX product family
Standard parts developed specially for hydraulics and gear
construction, suitable for use in applications with risk of
explosion. Each standard part in this product family includes
complete documentation, providing details and information on
the underlying European Explosive Atmosphere Directive (ATEX).
Page 18 | Ganter – Hygienic Design
Hygienic Design
Advantages of Hygienic Design
Less and shorter cleaning work (this can be up to 25% of the production time), therefore
- more time available for production- less fresh water consumption- lower energy consumption- less cleaning agent required- less production of waste water- lower total costs and saving of resources
In the food industry, medical technology and the pharmaceutical industry,
product safety and consumer protection are becoming increasingly important.
Due to their specific properties, standard parts in Hygienic Design can assist
the production process in these sensitive areas and facilitate the manufacture
of products with a long shelf life, which are free from preservatives.
Page 19|Ganter – Hygienic Design
Ganter has solutions
For the standard parts which are listed in Hygienic Design, seals have the central function of protecting dead spaces, gaps and cracks from the penetration of cleaning fluids or product residues.
For this, a defined pre-tension or pressing of the seals and wipers is necessary for a reliable and permanent seal in the installed condition. Within the Hygienic Design product family, seal installation spaces and seal cross sections are calculated and designed with simulation software, so that the necessary surface compression is achieved on installation and the seal material is not subjected to excess pressure.
Depending on the version and the type of use, it may be the case that seals may need to be replaced in case of damage or for preventative maintenance. For this, Ganter supplies the relevant seals as spare parts or offers these under GN 7600 (→ Page 881) as standard parts.
Seals
Since even the smallest weak spots can contaminate entire production lines, Ganter decided to develop a special series of Standard Parts that meet the high requirements of the EHEDG and the 3-A Sanitary Standards.
Design requirements for Hygienic Design
Material- Non-rusting Stainless Steels- FDA and EU compliant plastics and
elastomers Surfaces - Surfaces must be able to be cleaned- Steps due to appliance configurations
which are not aligned must be avoided- Seals must be designed so that no gaps
occur- O-ring grooves must be hygienically
designed- Contact with the product to be manufac-
tured must be ruled out- Corners should preferably have a radius
of 6 mm or more Design / GeometryThe interior and exterior areas of all appli-ances, components or piping must be self-draining or be able to be drained and easy to clean. Surface properties and roughnessEasy to clean with Ra < 0.8 μm

Driven by dedication to consistent ser-
vice, Ganter now also offers matching
assembly sets - in the tried and tested
style of Ganter‘s own standard. The
new assembly set standards (GN 965
and GN 968) each consist of T-Nuts
for the T-Slots of the profile system
and screws.
Assembly sets GN 965
For profile systems of the current grid
dimensions 30 and 40 mm with slot
widths 6 and 8 mm, GN 965
(→ Page 1428) offers the required
screw head types and lengths - for all
possible fastening situations. The
T-nuts, also separately available as
GN 506 (→ Page 872), can be used in
any location by swiveling them into the
slot. A guide step and a spring
element (ball/thrust spring) simplify the
installation.
Assembly sets GN 968
If installing to a profile with grid dimen-

Ganter offers a number of modification standards
for individual, customer-side adaptations.
As a part of our services, these adjustments can
easily be ordered additionally for your product.
Thus expensive special designs are avoided, and
the customer benefits from lean processes and
lower overall costs.

Levelling marks /
special lengths GN 109
for dipsticks
→ Page 1425
Quantities and fill levels of oil baths
vary, therefore different dimensions
are required for the appropriate oil
dipsticks. Dipsticks from Ganter are
designed, so that they can be cut to a
specific length, meeting requirements
without any problems.
Our service team performs this
length adaptation according to cus-
tomer specification. The milling of
one, two or more level markings is
also available, in accordance with
modification standard GN 109.
Additional symbols or labels can be
added by laser engraving.

Loss protection GN 111.7
(Recess with retaining ring)
→ Page 1426
With the help of ball chains or retaining
cables, handles such as star knobs can
be permanently and captively attached
to an assembly. Loss protection feature
consist of a retaining ring mounted in
an annular groove in the handle, where
it can turn freely but cannot be deta-
ched. The ball chain or retaining cable
can be affixed, securing the part
against loss.
With modification standard GN 111.7,
Ganter provides loss protection for a
number of different handles.
Cross holes GN 110
Operating elements on shafts
→ Page 1422
Handwheels, cranked handles or shif-ting hubs are mounted radially or in axial position by cross pin or grub screw. Because this positioning is very specific, these parts don‘t have a cross hole as a standard feature. They need to be modified individually before mounting, which can be expensive.
With the modification standard GN 110, this adjustment is eliminated, since it is already performed accurate-ly and cost-effectively by Ganter. Available options include a one sided cross hole, double sided cross hole or one sided threaded hole. GN 110 provides a standard dimensional pat-tern, making additional modification drawings unnecessary.
Cross holes GN 110.1
Universal joint shafts and
universal joints on shafts
→ Page 1423
Cross holes in universal joint shafts
and universal joints are used for the
construction of shaft-hub connections
via pin or grub screw. For bores with
keyway or square, they serve to se-
cure the axial position of universal joint
and shaft.
The modification standard GN 110.1
defines the position of the cross holes /
cross threads in relation to the keyway /
square or to the joints, and provides
economical drilling of the holes at
Ganter.
