From 1 January 2016, Gjøvik University College (GUC) will be merged with NTNU, Sør-Trøndelag University College (HiST) and Ålesund University College (AaUC).

Together, NTNU, HiST, AaUC and GUC will form Norway’s largest university. The aim of the merger is to raise the quality of all four institutions in terms of both education and research.

The merger plans will not have any consequences for this year’s applications and admission. The aim is that students can be admitted to the new university from 2016.
