Our long term experience of UW-Tech’s in water treatment is applied in our new compact containerized Water Treatment
unit. Our system is based on Reverse Osmosis (R.O.) process which provides several benefits.
The R.O. technology is an advanced high effi-ciency rate water treatment process and repre-sents the finest level of liquid filtration available today. Whilst ordinary filtration systems use a screen to remove particles from a water stream, Reverse Osmosis utilizes a membrane to re-move dissolved minerals. More specifically, R.O. is a membrane process for desalting saline wa-ter by the application of hydrostatic pressure to drive the feed water through a semi permeable membrane while a major portion of its impuri-ty content remains behind and is discharged as waste.
The largest and most important application of reverse osmosis is the production of pure wa-ter from seawater and brackish water; seawa-

The membranes used for reverse osmosis have a dense layer in the polymer matrix – either the skin of an asymmetric membrane or an interfacially polymerized lay-er within a thin-film-composite membrane – where the sepa-ration occurs. In most cases, the membrane is designed to allow only water to pass through this dense layer, while preventing the passage of solutes (such as salt ions). This process requires that

Because of its efficiency, the Reverse Osmosis technology can be used for Sea and Brackish water as well as for both domestic water (e.g. Municipalities, ho-tels, house complexes, camps, tertiary Wastewater Treatment, raw water pre-treatment, etc) and Industrial wastewa-ter (food & drink industry, process water, etc for details please contact us for con-sultation).
The new UW-Tech’s Containerized R .O . Treatment Unit
UW-Tech provides a wide range of con-tainerized R.O. treatment units (UW-
BOX-RO) ranging from 24m3/d up to 1,000m3/d (depending of the type). This unit is the main treatment part of an integrated Water Treatment Plant (WTP) with Reverse Osmosis.There are two main models; the Model called UW-BOX-RO/BW which is for brackish water desalination, with recovery rate from 60 up to 80% and the Model called UW-BOX-RO/SW for sea water desalination, with recovery rate from 25 up to 42%. All models can be transported by standard road-trucks or shipped inside ISO container in order to reach even the most distant and remote part of the world. This fact makes our Treatment Units the easiest and fastest way to implement a Wa-ter Treatment Plant at any terrain and under any condition. Furthermore, can be equipped with Anti-frost pack (includes frost protection, heated engine-room, and insulated tanks). Standard in all models, the engine-room includes lockable doors for security reasons. For bigger models an additional machine-room maybe required (prefabricated or not) in order to install additional equipment, electrical switch board (MCC) and also to accommodate a small office for the operator and or a storage area.

Our Reverse Osmosis systems for brackish wa-ter have been designed to treat well waters and ground waters having a maximum salinity of 3,500 μScmandTDS<2000ppm.OurbrackishwaterROunits are containerized in the standard configura-tion and skid mounted version can be quoted op-tionally.
In order to reach our client’s water quality require-ments, we design each unit separately, providing guarantee about the water quantity that is dis-charged and we optimized our unit’s performance.

Our Reverse Osmosis desalination systems have been designed to produce drinking water from sea water that has maximum
salinityof60,000μScmandTDS<40,000ppm(minimum seawater temp 10oC and maximum seawater temp 30oC) and produces water with salinityof800μScmandTDS<500.Our sea water RO units are containerized in the standard configuration and skid mounted ver-
sion can be quoted optionally. All materials have been selected for our units provide a long-term lifetime with the minimum maintenance.
