MOVIE NIGHT AUGUST 5TH, 7:00 P.M. IN THE BANQUET HALL FEATURING: THE WAYThis movie tells the story of Thomas Averyn an American ophthalmologist who goes to France following the death of his adult son, Daniel who was killed in the Pyrenees during a storm while walking the Camino de Santiago, the Way of St.
James, a Catholic pilgrimage route to the Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela in Galicia, Spain. Tom’s purpose is initially to retrieve his son’s body. However, in a combination of grief and homage to his son, Tom decides to walk the ancient spiritual trail where his son died, taking Daniel’s ashes with him. It is a moving story about our journey through life and how those we meet along the way impact us. Run time is 2 hours and it is Recommended for Teens and older.
Transfiguration Catholic Church, 972 S. Miami Street, West Milton, Ohio 45383 is offering a Fatima Parish Mission Monday, August 8 through Thursday August 11. Each evening begins with Confessions from 6:00-6:45 p.m., followed by Mass at 7:00 p.m., with an extended teaching homily. The Mass will be followed by Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament and a procession to an outdoor
altar where we will pray the Rosary and consecration to the Two Hearts of Jesus and Mary and Benediction. The evening will conclude with a social in the Parish Hall. All are welcome. For more information, call 937-698-4520.

Transfiguration Catholic Church is pleased to extend the invitation to all golfers to participate in their Annual Golf Outing to be held Monday, August 15, 2016, at Turtle Creek Golf Club in Greenville, Ohio. This format is a 4-person scramble with a starting time of 11am
followed by dinner and prizes. More details and registrations form can be found at www.transfigurationcatholicchurch.org. Net proceeds for the outing will be directed to John Paul 11 Medical Research Institute for Parkinson’s research.

“LIVING WITH LOSS” is a ministry starting on Thursday, August 18th at 6:00 p.m. in the Banquet Hall at St. John’s. We know there are people suffering from the loss of a loved one and we want to help you. The evening will start with dinner and then proceed with a program. If you have lost a spouse,

Cleaning Position Available: St. John’s ECP needs someone to clean 3 preschool classrooms, Monday/Wednesday/Friday afternoons (approximately 4-5 hours/week). Duties include: vacuuming, dry mopping floors and emptying wastebaskets. For more information, please call Susie or Shari at 667-2629.
ST. VINCENT HOTEL: Parishioners are reminded the hotel is in constant need of casseroles to serve the homeless guests. Completed casseroles can be placed in the Parish freezer and will be periodically delivered to the hotel by Parish volunteers. For further information contact
Mike Begley 667-2882 or the Parish Office at 667-3419. The next opportunity to serve the evening meal to the guests at St. Vincent Hotel will be Sunday, August 28. Please meet in the north parking lot of the Church for a 5:00 p.m. departure if you would like to volunteer.
