SOCIAL PROGRAMMEFebruary 2018
Create & TalkIf you love painting, drawing and colouring, then this is the perfect group for you. In February, we will be creating our very own life story scrapbooks. Each week we will focus on a new entry for our scrapbooks. Some of the things we will be covering this month are:
Collage and portraits You can create a portrait of yourself using different materials. You can create a picture using words and images found in magazine cutouts. This is really fun and a great way to get started with your scrapbook.
Murals and postersHere at the social hub, we’re all about positivity and promoting positive thoughts and behaviour. One session will focus on creating a positivity mural for your scrapbook.
Create and Talk Sessions are every Monday & FridaySee the social programme timetable for more details.
Drama for ConfidenceWould you like to help us with our production? The Social Hub are putting on their very own play on mental health and recovery. We will use each session to focus on different theatre techniques, create props and costumes as well as writing own script.
Drama is a great way to help you:
to understand yourself better to explore and overcome
anxiety to improve social skills
Each drama session will include fun games, role-play and character improvisation.
Pop along to a session to find out more.
Creative Writing
Poetry, Short Stories, Flash Fiction, Articles and much more.
If you enjoy creating new worlds and writing stories, our creative writing group is perfect for you. Each session we will explore a new craft of writing; from poetry to flash fiction.
The Wolverhampton Social Hub are hoping to create their very own Spring/Summer Anthology. If you would like to see your work published, join our social writing group.
The group is a great place to explore writing, as well as share your work and meet new people who have the same passion as you.
Writing can also be a useful way of expressing your thoughts and feelings.
Sound good? Come and join our group. We meet every Tuesday at the Central Library.
Cinema ClubIf you love watching films and keeping up-to-date with the recent blockbusters, our cinema club is the perfect group for you.
