DAY CAMP
INFORMATION
Camps will provide youth with an opportunity to
learn and grow in a fun, comfortable and safe
environment. Please sign up early, as space is
limited! These camps are not limited to 4-H
members, so please encourage any interested
youth to sign up!
If accommodations are needed for participants,
please notify the Extension office one week prior
to camp date.
For full day camps (9:00 AM– 3:00 PM) please
bring a sack lunch with your child’s name on it.
On half day camps (9:00 AM–12:00 PM) a snack
and drink will be provided.
Please note: if your child is unable to attend a
camp they signed up for please contact the
Extension Office at 515-961-6237 as soon as
possible. We want to give all youth the
opportunity to participate in these camps.

MISSION: AIRDROP
Date: Wednesday, June 7
Time: 9:00 AM-3:00 PM
Ages: Youth having completed 3rd-5th Grade
Cost: 4Her’s: free, Non-4Her’s: $2
You will learn that monsoon rains can cause
severe flooding which cut people off from
important supplies. You will help engineer “aid
drop packages” that can be dropped from an
aircraft while protecting what’s inside, and can
easily be found once they reach the ground.

ADVENTURES
Date: Thursday, June 29
Time: 9:00 AM-3:00 PM
Ages: Youth having completed grades 4-8
Cost: 4Her’s: free, Non-4Her’s: $4
Travel the world in a day without ever leaving
Warren County. You will explore cultures from
around the world by sampling many tasty
cuisines, learning traditional dances, and
participating in other cultural activities!
YARN-IT!
Dates: Monday, June 26–Wednesday, June 28
Times: 9:00 AM-3:00 PM each day
Ages: Youth having completed grades 4-12
Cost: 4Her’s: $30, Non-4Her’s: $35
Come and learn how to grill and smoke food! You
will be able to cook your own lunch each day,
take home a rack of ribs, and participate in the
BBQ competition!

TECHNOLOGY
Date: Friday, July 7
Time: 9:00 AM-3:00 PM
Ages: Youth having completed K-8th Grade
Cost: 4Her’s: free, Non-4Her’s: $3
Creativity, innovation, art, engineering, and
imagination will all come together as you
explore inventions and learn how to program
your own robot!
Date: Tuesday, July 11
Time: 9:00 AM-12:00 PM
Ages: Youth having completed K-8th Grade
4Her’s: free, Non-4Her’s: $2
Explore your inner creativity with all things
yarn! You will design and create a variety of
masterpieces from jewelry to bedroom décor.
You could also use these as exhibits at the
Warren County Fair!
EXPLORING
INVASIVE SPECIES
Date: Thursday, July 13
Time: 9:00 AM-12:00 PM
Ages: Youth having completed 3rd-5th Grade

Oh no! A cane toad was accidently brought from
Australia to New Zealand and could hurt the
native species. You will help engineer a humane
trap to catch the toad and save New Zealand!
