Hakhnazaryan won the gold medal for cello at the 2011 International Tchaikovsky Competition. He studied at the Moscow Conservatory and the New England Conservatory. He was named a BBC New Generation Artist in 2014, and his performances are regularly broadcast on BBC Radio 3. Yoo studied at University of Music and Performing Arts Munich in Germany and the Queen Elisabeth Music Chapel in Belgium. Prior to this, she worked with Zakhar Bron, Leonid Kerbel and Berent Korfker.
