The collection of 15 stamps will feature British contribu- tions to the U.S. show which is based on the books by George R. R. Martin. Most of the filming for the series takes place in Northern Ireland. Daenerys Targaryen, Jon Snow and Arya Stark are among the 10 characters featured in the set which goes on sale at post offices Jan. 23. The three are played by British actors Emilia Clarke, Kit Harington and Maisie Williams. The stamps also feature fellow British actors Lena Headey (who stars as Cersei Lannister), Sophie Turner (Sansa Stark) and Charles Dance (Tywin Lan- nister). In addition, a sheet of stamps also feature: the Night King and White Walkers; Giants; Direwolves and Dragons; as well as a stamp of the contested Iron Throne. The “Game of Thrones” production involves a very sig- nificant British contribution. Principal filming of the series is at Titanic Studios in Belfast, at the Linen Hill Film Studio in Banbridge and on location else- where in Northern Ireland, with additional filming in Scotland and European locations includ- ing Malta, Croatia, Iceland and Spain. A spokeswoman for the post office said: “In addition to the stamps there is an extensive range of products, exclusive souvenirs, limited edition and gifts, not available on the high- street. The story is based on Wiener’s experiences as she transitioned from a career in publishing to a new job in the tech world at a startup, which does not pan out as she had hoped. De Luca and Banks/ Handelman are behind two of Universal’s most profitable fran- chises, “Fifty Shades” and “Pitch Perfect,” respectively. While the third and final installment of the “Fifty Shades” series is set to hit theaters Feb. 9, the prior two films have earned a cumulative US$950 million at the global box office. The third and final “Pitch Perfect” film came out at the end of last year. She will also take part in a master class. The festival will screen a retrospective of her work. FRENCH actress Juliette Binoche will receive the lifetime achievement honor of the Gote-borg Film Festival, the honorary Dragon Award.

Binoche, who has been a fi xture on the European and Hollywood scene for decades, has appeared in more than 70 fi lms, among them “The Unbear-able Lightness of Being,” “Three Colors: Blue” and “The English Patient,” the latter winning her an Academy Award for best sup-porting actress.
