Guests can continue to explore this exciting visual landscape with each guestroom floor showcas- ing a unique theme such as the visual arts, nature, architectural styles or personas from around the world. “We want to create a new hospi- tality experience where this hotel will be a modern-day playground for business and leisure travelers and the local residents of Beijing,” said Clifford Weiner, general man- ager of Hotel Jen Beijing. “We want to inspire our guests to leave everyday routines behind by providing them with alternative, energizing ways to work smarter, play harder and travel better.” The new hotel offers 450 contem- porary rooms and suites all of which feature a soothing neutral palette with pops of color and modern work spaces with multiple USB charging bays and complimentary Wi-Fi con- nectivity. The spacious rooms start at 40 square meters and feature floor-to- ceiling windows which bathe them in natural light. All have views of the city, with around 100 rooms and 40 suites overlooking the iconic CCTV headquarters. Participants first joined a yoga session at 7:30 a.m., where a yoga master not only presented a performance, but instructed participants in doing proper yoga forms according to their physical conditioning. On one of the hotel’s outdoor tennis courts, professional tennis coaches from ATP Shen- zhen Open taught students from Dongying Primary School basic tennis skills, such as the correct grip on the racket and how to properly swing a racket, to raise awareness and encourage an interest in sports. On another tennis court, about 50 hotel staffers performed aerobic exercises to help them achieve a better and healthier work- life balance. After the activities, the hotel’s culinary team prepared a complimentary healthy buffet breakfast at the Rooftop Garden. To practice one of the manifests of Global Wellness Day – “Eat healthy food” – the hotel set up a small “farmers market.” Dong Sheng Farm provided fresh organic vegetables, including red spinach, peppers, lettuce and many more.
