HHI’s main offshore yard is located at Ulsan Port, which is 5 km away from its headquarter office in Ulsan, Korea. The yard spreads
over 1,180,757 ㎡ of paved area with world-class construction facilities.
HHI built a new drydock in its offshore yard in February 2009. The drydock specializes in building large size offshore floating facilities
including FPSO, FPU, semisubmersible and even large size FLNGs. It measures 490 m in length, 115 m in width, and 13.5 m in depth
with a capacity of 1 million DWT. The dock covers the same area as seven soccer fields and it is equipped with two 1,600 ton goliath
cranes. This allows HHI to simultaneously build both the hull and topside in the same dock.
HHI also added a 10,000 ton heavy lift vessel (HLV), Hyundai 10000, to its offshore facility in March 2015. The vessel equipped with
eight double truss jib cranes measures 182 m in length, 70 m in width and 11 m in depth. With the addition of HLV, HHI’s maximum
lifting capacity per module increased more than six-fold from 1,200 tons to 8,000 tons.

Since 1996 with two EPC contracts from Petrobras for the conversion of P-33 and P-35 FPSO, HHI has delivered 10 world class FPSOs
to clients including the recent ENI’s Goliat FPSO and BP’s Quad 204 FPSO which can be stored up to 1.0 million barrels of oil.
HHI’s track record of FPSOs not only demonstrates HHI’s construction capabilities for floating production systems, but also shows our
record for fostering continuous working relationships with our clients.
The recent emphasis on offshore deepwater projects has led to an increased demand for floating production systems such as FPSOs,
FSOs, FPUs, semisubmersible units and so on.

Since 1982, HHI has delivered 10 semisubmersibles, to various oil companies.
HHI executes a construction plan that allows semisubmersible rigs to be fabricated on ground at HHI’s offshore fabrication yard
instead of the traditional construction in drydocks.
HHI successfully completed the semisubmersible drilling vessel, ‘‘Deepwater Nautilus’’ for R&B Falcon in 2000. In 2002, HHI completed
Shell’s Na Kika Floating Production Unit. It is 92 m in length 81 m in width and 70 m in height. The unit has a total weight of 31,609
tons with 12,580 ton topside and an 19,029 ton hull. During the construction process, HHI was certified by Guinness World Records
for mounting the 12,112 ton topside on the hull of the FPU by lifting it 53 m above the ground.

Demand for natural gas is steadily increasing in line with the global trend for clean energy policies, which is opening up opportunities
for HHI to expand in the area of land-based module.
With qualified experts and well-equipped fabrication facilities, HHI successfully completed and delivered the Sakhalin-1 OPF (Onshore
Processing Facility) for Exxon Neftegas Limited, in which the contract was awarded in March 2005. More recently, HHI was awarded
the contract to fabricate Chevron’s Gorgon LNG plant module in Australia weighing over 198,675 tons.

The innovative fabrication programs for the semisubmersible drilling rigs built on the ground also enabled HHI to fabricate jack-up
drilling rigs on the ground.
Traditionally, moving these hull-type structures outside the marine environment would cause the hulls to be over-stressed during the
operations. HHI overcame this limitation by supporting the hull on hydraulically activated skid shoes during the load out operation,
thereby allowing the deflections and deformations of the foundations and transport vessel to be accommodated by movements in
the hydraulic supports, as opposed to otherwise creating overstress conditions in the structure.

MarineterminalandJettyourservices
Since 1976, with its own marine construction fleet, HHI has installed various offshore structures including jackets, topside decks and
modules, living quarters, submarine pipeline and cables.
HHI operates three large size derrick pipelay vessels and one shallow water pipelay barge. All its marine crews are well experienced
and are led by qualified engineers and supervisors. With accumulated experience and technology in various fields, HHI has installed
heavy integrated decks, GBS, FSU, MOgPU, SPM, PLEM, etc., while working together with a number of specialized installation and
marine subcontractors as part of an EPIC scope of work.
HHI has completed the installation of a GBS weighing up to 14,900 tons with concreting and the installation of the integrated pro-
duction deck (IPD) weighing up to 7,000 tons on top of the GBS at F2A Hanze Field, the North Sea, involving various marine and
installation contractors. Currently HHI’s capacity extends to the installation of floating units in deep water such as FPSO, FSO, TLP,
SPAR, etc.
HHI has a dedicated commissioning group to cover an EPIC scope of work.
HHI has developed and applied its own Project Completion System, a computerized database system compiling all disciplinary unit
work, to all commissioning activities. HHI also owns and operates marine spreads to perform offshore hook-up and commissioning
activities throughout the world.
The accumulated experience and know-how from previous and ongoing commissioning activities for different types of facilities will
ensure that HHI delivers offshore projects that satisfies clients’ needs.
