Ore is hoisted up the shaft in a bucket, trammed by wheelba:r;row to the ore stockpile and hand sorted. Ore shoveled by hand by the operators into the Strong & Harris trucks l which haul the ore to the loading ramp at Patagonia.

Proposed Plans Operators plan to sink the shaft an additional 50 ft., to the 170 ft. level. After tha~, they plan to drift on this level en the ore vein into ~he old Kansas Mine workings and then use the Kansas Mine shaft for hoisting the ore. He estimates a drift 200 ft. long will intersect the Kansas workings. The 160 ft. level of the Venados mine is estimated to be about the same elevation as the bottom of the Kansas shaft.
