Purpose of Document• This document provides an overview of VISUAL 8

enhancements. This represents only those enhancements that are currently being programmed and can be demonstrated in some form.

• Updates to this document will be made periodically to include additional enhancements outlined on the roadmap.

Activities & Reminders


Activities and Reminders• VISUAL CRM task functionality has been extended throughout

VISUAL ERP and are now noted as activities.

• Activities can be added to all VISUAL documents (orders, invoices, RMA,s, etc.) for the purpose of recording and tracking various business activity. Reminders can be set for follow-up to activities.

• Reminders initiate a pop-up dialog box when due.

• Open activities show up in the task window.

• Users can only delete and modify their own activities

VISUAL View PanelsVISUAL Views are in-line contextual analytics aimed at providing an instantaneous and dynamic view into sales, purchasing, production and finance. Graphical Views contain drill-down functionality to the detailed grid data and then individual documents.

Order Line View – Gross ProfitGross profit is based on demand / supply links or standard cost no allocations exist.

The example shown has a single sales line being supplied by two production orders. Note that one WO is expected to exceed selling price while the second WO is projected to come in under estimate yielding a net positive gross profit.

Note: The “other” line represents the portion of the sales line that is based on standard cost when supply (allocations) is less than demand

CostingReturn zero cost flag

A new flag has been added to the inventory transaction table identifying transactions that may never have an associated cost such as with consigned inventory. This will improve the costing utility cycle time when transacting a significant amount of consigned (no cost) inventory.

Valid values:

NULL = Non-zero, check during cost run.

Y = No need to cost. Note, this will get set to NULL as required by the solution when costing is required.

Selecting this option will automatically select to sequence the attachments after each traveler.
