RIBBLE VALLEY MUSIC FESTIVAL
The 2017 Ribble Valley Music Festival!continues to bring quality artists and a wide spectrum of music styles to stunning locations throughout the Ribble Valley. Professional artists who have performed on respected world stages are heard at their best in the marvellous church acoustics. Unpaid volunteers manage events to raise funds for the churches where they are held. Praise has been received from The Queen for being unique as a festival with these fund raising objectives.

Championship Section Wingates Band
An international flavour opens the festival with music from around the world performed to the high standard associated with Wingates Band. Expect surprise innovations that have become the hallmark of the events in this festival.

International duo Il Destino PLUS The Rossendale Ladies Choir
Il Destino are tenor and platinum selling recording artist Jon Christos and the award winning celebrated West End and Broadway star Adam Lacey. They will be performing Musical Theatre, Classical Crossover, Pop and Swing hits following their critically acclaimed shows at prestigious events across Europe and the America. The Rossendale Ladies Choir provides contrasting harmony with their debut performance in the Ribble Valley. Proceeds go to St Mary Magdalene Church.

A special 40’s theme night when Yorkshires most popular Big Band Echo 42 in forces uniform perform music from the Glenn Miller era with plenty of chance to dance and dress to impress in period attire. Drama and comedy sequences will add that something extra. Proceeds go to St Mary Magdalene Church.

Stonebridge String Quartet Preston Opera Company
This idyllic summer afternoon in a beautiful location will include a landmark performance of the Forest of Bowland Suite composed by Chris Gibbs who will be in attendance to discuss his inspiration which captures the beauty of various locations in the area. The growing demand for opera will be met by the first appearance in the Ribble Valley by the prestigious Preston Opera Company who will perform a selection of popular pieces.

OPERA AT THE ABBEY £8 The Encore Opera Group
A gala evening in this historic setting will include favourite opera arias, solos, duets and choruses from heart wrenching to the hilarious all delivered with passion, precision and professionalism. This is a welcome return by demand to the festival of Encore Opera Group following their sell out concert last year.
