Donna Márquez Named General Manager, Hyatt Regency Louisville
LOUISVILLE (May 14, 2010)- A 21-year Hyatt veteran, Donna Márquez has been recently named General Manager of Hyatt Regency Louisville. In this role, Donna is responsible for the daily management of the recently renovated 393-room hotel, including 21,000 square feet of meeting space. Prior to her arrival in Louisville, Donna held the positions of General Manager at Hyatt Lisle and Hyatt Rosemont and Corporate Food & Beverage Director for Hyatt Hotels Corporation. As Corporate Food & Beverage Director, Márquez performed hotel and restaurant openings developing and implementing corporate promotions and standards. Márquez worked on the opening teams of Hyatt Regency Trinidad, Hyatt Regency St. Louis at the Arch, Hyatt Regency Toronto, and Grand Hyatt San Antonio. She has also opened restaurants at Hyatt Dulles, Hyatt Regency Austin, Hyatt Regency Indianapolis, Hyatt Regency Capitol Hill, and Hyatt Regency Fisherman’s Wharf. Donna began her Hyatt career as a in room service in 1989 and worked in various management and in Food & Beverage at Grand Hyatt Tampa Bay, Hyatt Regency Atlanta, Hyatt Regency Greenville, Hyatt Regency La Jolla, Hyatt Regency Hill Country Resort and Spa, and Hyatt Regency Denver Convention Center. Over the years, Donna has worked in a variety of cities with numerous community organizations such as Share Our Strength and Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. Most recently Donna was on the Board of Directors for the Lisle Convention and Visitor’s Bureau. Donna grew up in Florida and attended Hillsborough Community College for Hospitality Management. She married her husband, Robert, who is a Chef, in 2008.
