What’s going on at the Center 3
PUBLIC COMMENT MEETING
HCSS will hold a quarterly public comment meet-
ing to discuss any senior questions or concerns.
All seniors are invited and encouraged to partici-
pate. This meeting will be held on Thursday, Sep-
tember 6th from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm.
Hancock County Senior Services is pleased to announce the WV Department of Agriculture has
again been awarded a grant for the Senior Farmers’ Market Program. The coupons are available
for distribution at Hancock County Senior Services located on Gas Valley Rd, New Cumberland.
Participants must meet the following age and income eligibility requirements:
► At least 60 years of age.
► Must fall within the income guidelines per household number.
► Reside in Hancock County.
Vouchers are distributed Monday - Friday, 8:30 am - 4:00 pm at Hancock County Senior Services.

Our Tai Chi class offers a joint-safe program
which is shown to reduce pain and stiffness

Dance your way to health and fitness! Debbie
Teter instructs this lively fitness class for
anyone 18 years and older. Cost is $3.00 per
class for all participants.

A style of Tai Chi which helps with balance and
strengthening muscles taught by Frank Lewis.
Cost is $3.00 per class for all participants.
HEALTHY STEPS 8:30 Mon/Fri
Healthy Steps is beneficial to individuals
dealing with lymphedema, osteoarthritis, stroke
and more. You may remain seated during
sessions. Participation is FREE!

This group meets on the first Thursday of the
month to work on WVU lessons with the volunteer

7th ANNUAL PHOTO CONTEST
Categories: Antiques, Flowers, Food, Water
Photos may be received from July 16th thru July 20th. One photograph may be entered in each category (4 total entries). All entries must be matted. Photos are judged the week of July 23rd thru the 27th.
All entries are exhibited in our Day Room until August 17th. Participants should pick up their photo-graphs by Thursday, August 23rd. Hancock County Senior Services cannot be held responsible for pho-tographs not picked up within 30 days.
